Golden Eagles Varsity Football team came up short tonight at George Pratt Memorial Field losing to the Orion Chargers 37-29.

Senior Recognition Night was held prior to the kickoff tonight for Seniors who participated in Football, Fall Cheerleading, Boys & Girls Golf team, Dance Team, Boys & Girls Cross County team.

We would like to thank the Seniors for their time and dedication in their Fall activities & how they represented MCHS with Pride and Excellence! And thank you for all their supporters along their journey!!!We wish them the best in their future endeavors!!!

The JV football game vs. Sherrard (originally scheduled for 10/19/26) has been moved to 10/16/26. This will be a JV football game that will start at 5:30pm vs. Sherrard.

Tomorrow(Oct 6th), We are partnering with United Way of West Central Illinois and starting a month-long Food Drive for our local Food Pantry called “Team Up to Fill Up!”

Each week we are asking students and maybe staff to bring in items to be share with the local food pantry.

This is a Regional Contest with other area schools as well! It lasts until November 5th. 1st time for United Way to do this type of school food drive!

This week we are wanting students to bring in cans of beans to their class sponsors classroom during the school day. For more information see attached photos.

Freshmen Class Sponsors are Mr. Whan & Mrs. Eads.

Sophomore Class Sponsors are Ms Guidinger & Ms Hesse.

Junior Class Sponsors are Mrs. Shearer & Mrs. Koch.

Senior Class Sponsors are Mrs. Reed & Ms. Gillespie

Feel free to donate through of student of your choosing. We are also having the grade levels compete for a pizza party for total amount donated by the end of the contest, as well!!!

Hope this is a fun and worthwhile experience for all involved!

What a truly special annual event held tonight at the Aledo Opera House, yet again this year. This is the 4th Annual MC Art Gala organized by members of the MC Art Collective!!!

We love the community support and the support of our student-artists is unmatched!!!

Thank you all that continue to share your kindness and love for Mercer County student-artists’ creativity and artistic expressions!!!

Great results by all MC Golden Eagles Runners today at the Augustana Invite at Saukie Golf Course!

It seemed to be a great day for a quick run for them all!!! They all keep getting PRs and pushing each other! It’s awesome to see the teamwork & support of one other!!!

It’s almost that time for the MC Art Collective 4th Annual Gala at the Aledo Opera House tomorrow(Saturday, October 3rd).
Before the Bid starts at 430pm with Live bidding happen by around 6pm! Always a fun event support our student-artists and showing off their creativity skills!!!
