Deadline Approaching!

The Mercer County School District is reaching out to all District residents, including parents and staff, to gather input regarding educational facility needs with a community-wide survey.

We have hired School Perceptions, an independent educational research firm, to conduct the survey and ensure all responses are kept confidential. We are asking that you respond to the survey that was emailed or delivered via hardcopy to your mailing address.

To ensure data integrity, each survey invitation/link code can only be used once. As such, you must access the survey through your individual invitation. The survey access number will not identify you; it simply links you to the District's survey.

The survey will close September 10 at 5:00 PM. If you did not receive an email or hard copy survey, you may contact the district office for a replacement. Thank you for your input in guiding these important decisions regarding district facilities.

Due to driver shortages and buses running near capacity, students are only allowed to ride on their assigned routes. Assigned seating is necessary for contact tracing.

Please consider transporting your student directly to school if at all possible. Bus crowding places unvaccinated students and drivers at risk for quarantine or Test to Stay protocols.

Town stops are a primary reason for crowding and may be eliminated if our busing situation does not improve.

Due to the potential for high heat and humidity during the first few weeks of school, Mercer County Schools MAY dismiss our unairconditioned buildings, the JUNIOR HIGH and HIGH SCHOOL, at 12:30pm. This will be a day-to-day decision and generally not planned in advance.

Buses will be available to take junior high and high school students home and return for the normal dismissal time at our other airconditioned buildings. Again, this early dismissal will only be utilized at the JUNIOR HIGH and HIGH SCHOOL. If your junior high or high school student will require bus transportation home on these days, please contact your bus provider as soon as possible to help us better plan for these potential events.

Thank you for your assistance.
