🇦🇷 Passport Club: A Taste of Argentina! 🇦🇷

We wrapped up our Argentina studies with one of our favorite activities—cooking! Our students made homemade chimichurri and learned how Argentina’s Pampas, gaucho culture, and cattle ranching helped shape its famous asado traditions. 🥩🌿

We also sampled yerba mate 🧉 and learned how sharing mate is an important social tradition in Argentina.

Such a fun (and delicious!) way to experience Argentina beyond the map! 🇦🇷❤️

What a wonderful morning serving our community! 💙🐾

Our Parker County Homeschool Bobcats had the opportunity to serve with Church at the Crossing and their Snack Sacks Ministry, packing take-home food bags that will benefit students right here in Aledo Independent School District! 🧡

We are so thankful for the opportunity to give back and for such a meaningful first service project of the year!

A BIG shoutout to Ms Kaitlin and our Bobcat Booster Club for getting this scheduled and creating an opportunity for our kids to serve their community. We are so grateful! 🐾💙

🌎💧 Catching up with our High School STEM students and their new Water World unit!

They’ve been diving into all things H₂O—from surface tension, cohesion, adhesion, and capillary action to exploring ocean currents, temperature, density, and ocean exploration! 🌊🔬

Lots of hands-on experiments, data collection, graphing, and great scientific discussions happening in STEM! We love seeing science come to life! 💙

Our older artists have been working on sketching, shading, and value to create these beautiful mountain landscapes! 🏔️✏️

We LOVE seeing how each student takes the same concept and makes it completely their own. Every mountainscape has its own style, details, and personality! 🎨

Our Wild Roots crew made homemade Pop-Tarts, and they were definitely a hit! 🙌 From making them from scratch to adding the finishing touches (and, of course, taste testing 😋), these kiddos had so much fun in the kitchen!

🌱 Wild Roots combines gardening + cooking, giving our students hands-on opportunities to grow, create, cook, and try new things. We’ve been having SO much fun together! 💚

And really… who can say no to a homemade Pop-Tart?! 🤩

🌱 Our Wild Roots class had the best time learning all about the layers of soil with a tasty twist! 🍫🌎

We explored the different layers beneath our feet and then created our own edible soil cups to bring our learning to life. Learning (and tasting 😂) our way through the layers of soil made for a pretty sweet science lesson! 🪱🌱🤎

🇪🇸 Yesterday in Passport & Culture Club, we traveled to Spain! ✈️🌎

We’ve been learning all about Spain this past week, and yesterday we got to experience a little Spanish culture through food! 🍅🥒

Our students made gazpacho, a traditional cold Spanish soup that is especially popular in southern Spain. With its warm Mediterranean climate and long, hot summers, fresh vegetables grow well in the region, and gazpacho makes the perfect refreshing meal! ☀️

The kids helped prepare the ingredients, followed the recipe, blended everything together, and of course gave it a taste! Some loved it, some weren’t quite convinced 😂, but everyone got to try something new!

We love learning about the world through geography, culture, traditions, and our taste buds! ❤️💛🇪🇸

We’re officially into week TWO at Parker County Homeschool and already having such a great year! 🐾📚

Our days have been full of STEM, art, music, Spanish, theatre, hands-on projects, new friendships, and lots of learning along the way.

It has been so fun seeing familiar faces back in the building and welcoming so many new Bobcats this year. Everyone is settling in, getting into their routines, and making the most of each class.

We’re so excited for everything still to come this school year! ❤️✨
