Last nights Back to School Bash was such fun!!! A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this event possible.

The Fifth Grade Committee fundraiser was a huge success!! Thank you for arranging for the food trucks today!

Third through Fifth Grade is in the house…uhmmm school! Welcome back!!

It’s happening!!! Our K-2 students are meeting their teachers right now!!!

These young ladies won a pizza lunch with our Dean, Ms Bagwell as part of our Spring Fling Silent Auction!

Two little snippets of our fifth graders performance this morning! Thank you to all who came out this morning to make it a special day!!

This morning was our 5th grade promotion ceremony! We are so proud of our class of 2022 and wish them the best of luck!

Our 2nd grade teachers hosted a sip and paint event to the winners from the Spring Fling!

Thursday evening we had a huge turn out for our Student Showcase!! Parents were so happy to be back in the building and students were proud to share their work!!

LCPS closed tomorrow January 20

LCPS is now closed January 18.

Ohhh the excitement this morning when a huge brilliant double rainbow filled the sky as we were arriving to school! What a beautiful way to begin the day!

Thank you PTA for a fun Fall Fest last evening! As you can see from the pictures everyone had a good time!

A big thank you to our bus drivers!! The drivers of these buses are getting our students to school safely, running double loads before going to the middle and high schools to do the same and covering other shifts when someone is out! They are doing their best when there’s a shortage of drivers. Please thank your bus driver for the job they do!

We loved seeing all the shades of orange worn today for Unity day as part of our
Bullying prevention lesssons this month. Always be kind!

Absolutely love the student collaborative art project brightening our front hallway especially on this gloomy day!!

Excited for this evenings PTA event. We will be set up in the gym for this presentation tonight at 6:15!!

The Buffalo Trail staff returned to the building today and attended Camp Buffalo!! We had an awesome time seeing our returning staff and welcoming the new members to the trail as we moved through activities including a fabulous breakfast!!

All LCPS and Admin Offices are closed, tomorrow. Student testing is cancelled. The LCPS Vaccination POD is closed.

LCPS SCHOOLS AND ADMIN OFFICES ARE CLOSED MONDAY, February 1st.

Tune into Ch7 at 5:50! Brain Van De Graaf joined the 4th grade yesterday to teach us about predicting weather, tools used and answered so many questions.

Buffalo Trail Beautification Day!

Help Bring BTES beauty back!
In conjunction with BTES and the PTA, Laurie Mitchell, (mom to a rising 2nd grader and current PTA Board member) and family will be in front of Buffalo Trail Elementary on Sunday, 8/30 starting at 10:00 am (weather pending).
They are taking time to bring BTES’s landscape back to its original beauty. If you have an hour or two to spare and would like to help Laurie and her family on this impactful project please email her at
[email protected] for additional details. 10 adults and/or high school students would be helpful to make BTES shine. Masks are required to be on property.
