It is with a heavy heart that we share that one of our own, Zach Bush, has lost his oldest son in a tragic car accident. Not only is Zach a participant of the Got Your 6 program, but he is also a hunting guide for Upper Canyon Outfitters. Our trusted partner, the Combat Control Foundation, has set up a fundraiser to help the Bush family. If you can, please show up for this family in their darkest time.
It is with a heavy heart that the Combat Control Foundation shares the sudden passing of 17-year-old Barrett Michael Bush on July 14, 2026. Barrett was the oldest son of Zachary Bush, a USAF Combat Controller, and his wife Bridgette. He was a talented cross-country and track athlete at Hill City High School, an old soul, and a beloved big brother.
Zachary has dedicated his life to serving our nation, and now we ask that you help us stand by his family in their time of deepest grief. We have established a fundraiser to ease the immense financial burdens ahead. Donations will directly assist the family with funeral and memorial costs, travel, and ongoing living expenses, ensuring they have the space to focus entirely on honoring and remembering their son and healing without the worry of financial strain.
