Something amazing happened!

GOAL achieved! A 20 inch rainbow occurs within 5% of the rainbow trout population. This guy is 21 inches and earned the the Master Angler award.

Every year, more than 300,000 fishing licenses are sold here, but only a handful of anglers ever catch a rainbow that reaches this trophy size. These fish don’t come easy — they live in hard-to-reach water, the kind of places that test your patience, your legs, and your gear. Getting to them isn’t for the faint of heart, but that’s what makes it worth it.

One fish like this makes all the long hikes, missed drifts, and empty-handed days more than worth it.

🎣 Wyoming really does hold wild trophies — if you’re willing to chase them.

This beautiful brookie was a PB for maybe an hour during this trip. This one was coming in at 14 inches. And no I will not tell you where this was! This spot is a secret and will remain that way.
