Welcome Back! Important Info for Tomorrow’s Drop-Off 🎒✨

Dear Parents and Families,
We love having our parents actively involved in our school community and are so excited to welcome all of our students back tomorrow!

To help ensure a smooth, safe, and efficient drop-off process for everyone on the first full day, please drop your students off at either the front entrance or gym entrance. To keep traffic flowing and maintain campus security, we ask that parents remain in their vehicles rather than walking students inside. (Drop off and Pick Up procedures attached)
Please rest assured that our fantastic team of teachers, staff, and 5th-grade student leaders will be out in full force to greet your children and guide them to their classrooms!

A few quick updates & friendly reminders:

Homeroom Classrooms: If you missed Registration Day, you can view your child’s homeroom teacher by logging into Skyward Family Access on the web (App is currently not working).

Returning Student Online Enrollment: Although RSOE is temporarily down, your child is completely fine to attend tomorrow as long as they are a returning student or you have confirmation of New Student Enrollment. We will share an update once the system is fully restored so you can complete that step.

School Supplies: If you have heavy or extra school supplies to bring in, feel free to drop them off at the main office. Please make sure they are clearly labeled with their name and teacher. Our staff will make sure they get delivered directly to your child's classroom.

All AIS students will report on Thursday, July 23rd. There will not be a stagger start.

Due to the continued statewide disruptions of the Skyward student information system, Alcoa City Schools has made the difficult decision to delay the opening of school until Thursday, July 23. All Alcoa City Schools will be closed on Tuesday, July 21, and Wednesday, July 22, 2026. All teachers and staff will report. Click link for more info. https://edl.io/n2212757

AIS Families, we are so excited to kick off the 2026-2027 school year and we are even more excited that your child will be an AIS student and Leader this year. If this is your first year at AIS, we’re very eager to welcome you. You’ll soon understand that we prioritize character development and focus on helping our students grow to be LEADERs, strive to achieve excellence, and have fun in the process! It’s going to be a great year.

Tomorrow, July 17 is our Registration & Open House
We invite families to drop in anytime between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
During this drop-in event, you will be able to:
-Meet & Greet: Find out who your child’s teacher is, visit their new classroom, and meet the teacher.
-On-Site Checklists: Pay tuition, add funds to your child's lunch account, visit the school nurse, and learn about PTO volunteer opportunities.
-Required Paperwork: Complete online re-enrollment (if you haven't already) and submit your proof of residency.
⚠️ Please note: This is a drop-in event, and parents/guardians must attend with their children.

💻 Skyward Re-Enrollment & Temporary Outage
All students must complete online re-enrollment. Please be aware that Skyward experienced regional outages today, which may temporarily prevent you from completing the RSOE (Re-enrollment/Registration) process.
-Their technical team is actively working on a fix. We anticipate the system will be up and running soon, so please check back later tonight.

📄 Annual Proof of Residency
Proof of residency is required annually for all resident students. Please bring two forms of documentation to the school:
A current June or July utility bill AND
A copy of your lease agreement or mortgage statement
