Barbara Rodriguez named UNM Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs 06/01/2026

We are thrilled to be able to continue working with Barbara Rodriguez, whose first day as provost and executive vice president for academic affairs is today. There is so much to look forward to as we welcome a new president this summer as well, Dr. Steve Goldstein. Thanks to President Stokes' steady leadership the last eight years, UNM and Academic Affairs is on a great trajectory. Go Lobos!

Stokes has formally appointed Dr. Barbara Rodriguez as Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, effective June 1, upon the recommendation of incoming President Steve Goldstein.
