Damian Lara has proven he'll make our property tax system work for working families- not just the wealthy few.

Damian stands for:
✅ Protecting homeowners from unexpected tax jumps when zoning changes
✅ Making property taxes progressive and accessible for working families
✅ Expanding tax savings for immigrant workers and Spanish-speaking households

As County Assessor, Damian has already delivered: expanded manufactured home tax savings, created early childhood education exemptions that make running a childcare center more affordable, and protected the 3% cap when City Council rezoned areas—because working families shouldn't be priced out by government decisions they didn't make.

Care workers are the backbone of our economy. 💛

Yet early educators at centers are asked to survive on wages that don't cover basic needs while holding the most important job there is: nurturing our children.

Today on , we're shutting it down to show what happens when care work is invisible.

When childcare workers organize, WE ALL WIN.

These workers show up every day for our children. often earn less than a professional wage while carrying the responsibility of shaping the next generation.

Today they're saying: ENOUGH. We stand with childcare workers!
When we invest in care workers, we invest in ALL our futures.

Families shouldn't have to choose between paying rent and paying for childcare.

Wait lists are years long. Childcare deserts leave entire communities without options. Parents are forced out of the workforce because care simply doesn't exist.

WE DEMAND: Accessible childcare for all families
📍 Eradicate wait lists and childcare deserts by growing the childcare workforce

This is about economic justice. This is about racial justice. This is about the future of our communities.

These are the faces of the childcare movement. 👏 When childcare workers win, families win. Today's action shows the power we have when we organize.
