Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) - Engineering Programs Educating Future American Indian Engineers, One Engineer at a Time ! SIPI offers excellent associat

SIPI is a leader in Engineering and Engineering Technology education among Tribal Colleges. Dr. Nader Vadiee has been a leader of innovative STEM programs at SIPI for many years. Reaching the Native American students, in and outside of NM, has been his passionate mission. He has a long history of working at both SIPI and UNM and currently, Nader Vadiee is the director of a NASA funded grant for th

e I-C MARS Project which has been receiving great news on their accomplishments. SIPI Advanced Technology, Engineering, Engineering Technology programs, through the New Mexico Higher Education pre-engineering core, are articulated with all the New Mexico four –year universities: UNM, NMSU, and NMTECH. SIPI offers the first two years of a four-year engineering program. The graduates from the program are accepted as juniors to Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Computer Engineering programs. SIPI also offers an “Enrichment Year” program to prepare high school graduates in math, science, communication, and computer skills to be able to enter as SIPI freshman engineering students. The majority of our courses will transfer to any 4-year engineering program in the country. Also, when you check our website, you will find that our labs are state-of-the-art. We can say without exaggeration that they are the best educational labs in the state of New Mexico and among the best in the Southwest. Dr. Nader Vadiee represents SIPI in the areas of engineering and engineering technology student outreach and recruitment, education, and research. He served SIPI as educational program coordinator from August 1994 to July 1998. He has rejoined SIPI as engineering faculty and engineering programs coordinator since August 2004. Dr. Nader Vadiee was selected by the Carnegie Foundation as the 2009 New Mexico Professor of the Year. The Chronology of some of the SIPI Engineering Programs National Achievements and Awards:

I know you are all noble people but beware of these four red lines and beware of those who have crossed one or more of these red lines:

The following four "red lines", if crossed, anyone at any time, any place, with any culture, background, race, nationality, religious belief, level of education, and social status may easily turn into a dangerous, merciless and self-righteous sociopath tyrant with no remorse!

This can happen and repeat in history at any stage of human civilization, any place and any time! It is a disease of the human race's mind and ego! For these people the self shrinks to the size of ego, they are all α and no γ . They lack the ω and ψ connection. For them there is an “ us” Nd “ them” !

It is the power of ideology, beliefs over reason and science. Ideology is a way of reducing all our four innate sufferings both for the oppressors and the oppressed.

Red line #1: My truth is the whole truth and nothing but the absolute truth. My path is the straight path and the path of righteous truth.

Red line #2: Those who do not believe in my truth and my way are masses of common ignorant people . They are ignorant and a threat to my world and they are ignorant, inferior and sub-human, and some at the animal or plant level. Therefore they do not have the human feelings, emotions, and do not understand or deserve the human dignity and rights and are dispensable. They are ignorant and have lost the path of straight and righteousness but they do not know themselves.

Red line #3: I am chosen, superior, blessed and special . I represent a superior power and I am his realization and have a mission, goal, and duty, bestowed upon me by the higher power, to make astray people believe in and follow my absolute truth, using any means possible within my power. It is justified, moral, all blessed and fine for me to accumulate and use any sort of power including physical violence (killing them, inflicting pain, or exploiting their deep existential fears, deception (exploiting their ignorance or weaknesses), and money (exploiting their poverty or greed), their lack of meaning and purpose ( sense of absurdity) , and finally their hopelessness and despair in order to achieve my goals.

Red line #4 I believe the rules and facts of reason and science, system of laws and democracy, human rights, objective truth and spiritual values of common and weak people are all nuisances that need to be molded, skewed, distorted, manipulated, mocked, made up, or exploited hypocritically in one rder to, only and only, reaffirm and justify me crossing the first three red lines, and serve my mission and purpose. Finally, at the end, my actions will be portrayed as the acts of ultimate love, faith, heroism, and sacrifice.

Shaking hands with the NASA Robonaut 2.0 at JSC!

Dr. Nader Vadiee (SIPI PI), Mr. Alexander Mcmahon ( SIPI BOR PI), Mr. Jonathan West ( Technology Program Manager), Mr. James Dunn ( Education and Outreach Program Manager), I-C-MARS Project team, visited NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, on October 26-28. The team toured the NASA JSC research and development laboratories and met with Ms. Misti Moore ( NASA JSC Office of Education); Mr. Scott Askew ( NASA JSC Robotics Division Senior Scientist); and Dr. Cinda Chullen ( NASA JSC Knowledge Capture Senior Scientist), the SIPI ICMARS NASA JSC project Co Investigators ( Co-I). The SIPI team also toured the NASA Robonaut R&D labs. The teams discussed the progress on the NASA TCU ELO project, planned and coordinated future collaborations. SIPI ICMARS project collaborators and Co-I’s are extremely impressed with the SIPI ICMARS project team’s progress and are enthusiastic and supportive of future collaborations. Two SIPI engineering students and one student from NMSU are scheduled to participate in a 10-week internship at NASA JSC , du8ring the summer 2015.
