We had a great first week back of staff learning and readiness, followed by an outstanding first week of school! We were glad to have the North Star PTA and our out of school time partners (including Blackman's Martial Arts, seen here donating school supplies) with us for Meet the Teacher as well!

Don't forget the PTA General Meeting, Tuesday AUG 18th 6-7pm in thee cafeteria.

North Star News and Weekend Update

Fifth grade graduation was made even more special by the incredible show of support from those who helped shape our school community over the years.

Seeing former principals (L-R) Mr. Hughes, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Kershen, Mrs. Fascitelli, and Mr. Barlow take the time to come celebrate our students was such a meaningful reminder that education is so much bigger than a single school year. These leaders each played a part in building the foundation that helped our students grow into the amazing young people they are today.

A huge thank you to our incredible fifth grade teachers for the heart, patience, and dedication you poured into this class all year long. You helped guide, encourage, and prepare these students for their next big chapter, and today’s celebration is a reflection of all your hard work. Thank you for loving our kids so well!! 💙🎓

Maranda Willingham, second grade teacher, told the kids they could stick one sticker for every 6 points of growth they made from their middle of the year math and reading scores until now. Two hundred and seventy-four stickers total and a ton of growth later, they nailed it! So proud of our smarties!! 🥹🧠
