Absolutely not! American Clay can be layered numerous times. We don’t recommend a 20 layer wall; but here is a fun 20 layer test spot for reference.

2-Day Advanced Workshop
Workshop instructor: Croft Elsaesser, American Clay founder and CEO. Wednesday and Thursday June 24-25
Thursday and Friday August 27-28
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. each day with breakfast and lunch provided

Cost: $175.00 registration cost is only $150.00 if you register early (by May 29 for June class; or by July 31 for August class)

Full payment is required at the time of registration. Register early as space is limited!
Space is limited to 10 participants per workshop and a minimum of five is needed to hold the class. Workshop Description: This is a hands-on, intense 2-Day workshop for homeowners, contractors, and anyone who would like to learn the techniques of installing American Clay Earth Plaster.

We will cover:
In depth review of American Clay products and application systems
Wall surface (substrate) preparation
Binder selections (Up & EZ!/PlasterPlus vs. Forte’ vs. using no binder)
Mixing of plaster, pigments and binders
Base coat application
Finish coat application
Compression techniques
Repair techniques
Tips for working up against various edges and corners

This workshop will provide participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to proceed with a project of their own.

Discount for Participants: Workshop participants are entitled to a one-time 15% discount on orders through our manufacturing facility only (valid within 30 days of workshop date).

Refreshments: A light breakfast will be provided including: coffee, tea, donuts, bagels, and fruit. A full lunch will also be provided daily.

Cancellation Policy:
Class sizes are small with a maximum of 10 participants so we encourage you to keep your commitment.
We need a minimum of five participants to hold the class. If this minimum is not met we will re-schedule the class or refund your payment in full.
If you must cancel or need to re-schedule we will work to re-schedule your training to another workshop date.
Cancellations the week of the workshop or "no shows" will not be refunded.
