Layer up for Spring Weather 🌸☀️

With spring in full swing, our NM days are bringing a mix of cool mornings and warm afternoons and everything in between!

Dressing your child in layers can help them stay comfortable as temperatures change throughout the day.

Plus, remember to use sunscreen to protect your child's skin in the warmer weather when they tend to be outside more. 🧴🌞

Montessori Discipline Explained - The Montessori Post 03/20/2026

What does discipline look like in the world of Montessori?

Montessori discipline focuses on building self-discipline from within rather than using rewards or punishments.

By guiding children with respect and clear boundaries, they learn responsibility, empathy, and independence. 💛

✨ Key Principles
🩵Respect for the child – Listen, guide, and respond with empathy
🩵Natural consequences – Let real-life outcomes be the teacher
🩵 Freedom within limits – Offer choices within clear boundaries

How can you implement at home? Try:
🧡Redirect instead of saying “no”
🧡 Model calm, respectful behavior
🧡Give children age-appropriate responsibilities
🧡 Practice active listening 👂

🌟 From Student to Leader: Former Student Gives Back🌟

We were thrilled to welcome a former student, Davan, back to campus this week to complete his Eagle Scout service project. His project refreshed part of our playground by relocating soil near the garden beds, adding fresh wood chips, placing a boulder for climbing, and installing charming touches like tin birds, a wind chime, and a turtle statue for children to sit on or explore.

The area looks amazing and our children have been enjoying the updated playground!

We are so proud to see one of our former students give back to the community where he grew up. 🐢🌿✨

Thank you, Davan!

Why Don’t Montessori Children Learn Reading & Math Right Away? 🤔

It’s a valid question — early childhood preparation matters. In Montessori, academics aren’t rushed. Instead, children build the strong foundation needed for lasting success. 🌟

✨The result? ✨
Children don't learn through memorization, passive video watching, or endless flashcards. Instead, they experience what often becomes an “explosive” academic growth around ages 5–6 — because they’re truly ready.

The best education doesn’t end with school—it grows with you. 🌿

Montessori isn’t just about early learning—it’s about lifelong thriving. 🌟
From building strong academic foundations to nurturing creativity, independence, and emotional intelligence, Montessori helps children grow into confident, curious, and adaptable adults.

Students learn how to think (not just what to think), collaborate with empathy, solve problems creatively, and stay motivated long after they leave the classroom. 📚💡
The result? Learners who love learning, leaders who adapt, and adults who carry these skills into college, careers, and everyday life.
