And just like that… another summer of Bridge Literacy is complete! 💙🌱

Each year, we are reminded what can happen when dedicated students, supportive families, and literacy specialists come together. Over five weeks, our students engage in intensive, structured literacy instruction thoughtfully designed to meet their individual instructional needs while strengthening the foundational skills that support successful reading and writing.

Thank you to our 2026 Bridge families for trusting us to be part of your child's literacy journey. We are so proud of what our students accomplished throughout these five weeks!

Feeling incredibly grateful for another exceptional summer cohort. A heartfelt thank you to our outstanding instructors and the entire MLTI-NM team for the expertise and care they bring to this work. I'm excited to watch this group continue to grow over the next two years.

Congratulations to our exceptional Summer 2026 cohort!

Over the past several weeks, this outstanding group of educators and related professionals completed the MLTI Summer Intensive, the entry-level training that launches our two-year credentialing pathway toward becoming Certified Academic Language Therapists.

The work ahead is focused on advanced preparation in dyslexia therapy through continued coursework, supervised clinical practice, and mentorship. We're honored to be part of that process.

Bridge Literacy Summer 2026 is underway!

Now in our fifth summer, we're off to a wonderful start supporting students as they build reading and spelling skills, confidence, and momentum for the school year ahead. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with such wonderful students and families and look forward to the weeks ahead.

A special thank you to Bosque School and Bosque Summer for partnering with us and hosting Bridge Literacy on their beautiful campus again this year.

Here's to a summer of learning, growth, and connection.

The relationship between oral language development and literacy is complex and deeply interconnected. Looking forward to listening to this discussion on DLD and dyslexia and continuing to elevate awareness around the ways these profiles can overlap in students.

In this new episode of The LDA Podcast, Carlin Graveline Ku discusses developmental language disorder, and shares how language skills and reading skills intersect. Carlin explains why DLD is hard to identify, and the importance of understanding the root cause of difficulties in reading.

I’m always inspired by the educators and professionals who seek out advanced training in dyslexia and academic language therapy.

After many years in private practice and working alongside educators on their training and certification pathway, that commitment never feels routine. Welcome to the 2026 MLTI–NM cohort!

Future cohort applications open February 1, 2027.
