Our History:

A young seminary graduate, Carl F. Schmid, was installed as a mission pastor in Albuquerque in 1914 and served until 1960. Pastor Kurt Brink served 1960-1982. Pastor Randy Walquist was installed in July 1983. God has richly blessed us under the guidance of these three men. With more than 2 million baptized members, the LCMS is the 11th largest church body in North America and enjoys fellowship with some 30 other Lutheran bodies worldwide. Immanuel is a Christ-centered, Bible-based family of believers whose greatest desire is to share the Good News of Jesus and His love with everyone we meet. Watchers and Keepers of those you love, this weekend we consider our particular role in proclaiming the Word of God. Our Lord has called us to love one another in all that we do, and all that we say. The Word of God should spring forth from our lips in fervent love towards God and one another. This Word of God includes a loving and Spirit-filled warning about the coming Judgement of Jesus Christ. This weekend, we consider how we can best speak the truth of God and the coming of Christ to all! Communion will be celebrated during the Saturday 5 PM and Sunday 8:15 AM services.
