🎉 Meet Our 2026 Makers-in-Residence! 🎉
Jessica Metz, originally from Fairbanks, Alaska and now based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is an artist and architect whose research-driven practice explores the connections between physical landscapes, psychological landscapes, and systems of power.
Working across sound, listening, field recording, sculpture, and writing, Jessica investigates how we experience and understand place through both visible and invisible forms of language. Her work blends digital and analog processes, creating opportunities to engage with the environments and stories that shape us

Elan Retzlaff is an interdisciplinary artist whose work brings together textiles, installation, interactive media, sculpture, physical computing, and community-centered storytelling. Their practice explores themes of community health, familial legacy, and q***r identity through vibrant and experimental forms.
Drawing from backgrounds in traditional textiles and new media, Elan creates imaginative works that blur the boundaries between craft and technology. Their curiosity about how different disciplines intersect continues to shape a practice that is both deeply personal and highly collaborative.
