In this hands-on workshop in collaboration with Marble, you’ll assemble and finish a wooden beer caddy designed to hold four crowlers—perfect for brewery runs, gifts, or your next gathering.

Participants will get $1 off drafts of Marble’s 111 beer during the event.

No woodworking experience? No problem. We’ll provide the materials, tools, and guidance you need to build something functional with that FUSE flair.

Open Call: Maker-in-Residence
Program
FUSE Makerspace is accepting applications for two Makers-in-Residence for a three-month residency in Albuquerque, May-July 2026. Residents will develop a project, engage the community through workshops and open studios, and showcase their work in a Fall 2026 group exhibition.
The program supports artists, designers, engineers, and creative technologists who want to create, experiment, and share skills in a collaborative makerspace environment. Selected residents receive:

Access to FUSE tools, workspace, and 24/7 building entry
$2,500 project stipend + $650 workshop materials budget
Technical support, marketing, documentation, and storage
Opportunity to present work publicly and engage the community
Projects should be feasible within three months, celebrate Route 66 history, and be suitable for exhibition.
Collaborative and interdisciplinary projects are welcome.
Application Deadline: March 20, 2026 | Residency: May-July 2026 | Albuquerque, NM

There is always grass that pushes itself through the cracks in the sidewalk - FUSE Makerspace 01/27/2026

“There is always grass that pushes itself through the cracks in the sidewalk.” 🌿

Artist Adrian Pijoan was selected through CNM Ingenuity, Inc.’s Advanced IoT Bootcamp, where he began developing ideas that combine technology, public space, and storytelling. That work evolved into a large-scale steel “future ruin,” garden, and web-based AR experience—created in collaboration with The University of New Mexico - UNM Architecture students and installed in the Predock Center courtyard. Adrian developed the fabrication skills to build the work through FUSE’s CNC plasma, powdercoating, and metal shop trainings.

The project reflects the same spirit of tech-forward, community-centered creativity being explored for the City of Albuquerque's Rail Trail.
