technical assistance by teachers and schools, founded in 2000.

Dual Language Education of New Mexico (DLeNM) is a New Mexico-based, nonprofit organization working with schools and educators nationally and internationally to develop, support, and advocate for high-quality dual language bilingual education. DLeNM is a non-profit organization serving the professional and informational needs of New Mexican
communities who wish to develop, refine and/or implement dual language
education programs.

✈️ Last week, our GLAD Leadership PD brought school leaders together to strengthen implementation, build a shared vision, and create actionable plans to support teachers and multilingual learners.

From practical tools to collaborative strategies, leaders left with a clear “flight plan” for moving GLAD forward on their campuses. Together, we’re building stronger support systems and creating more meaningful learning experiences for multilingual learners! 🌎📚

This week, we joined the Tigard-Tualatin School District for a one-day elementary retreat focused on strengthening Dual Language Bilingual Education (DLBE) practices! 📚✨

Educators explored the history and foundations of DLBE, program non-negotiables, guiding principles, explicit instruction in both program languages, cross-linguistic strategies, and alignment. Through interactive activities, self-assessment, and action planning, participants gained tools to strengthen their practice and support student success. 🌎💬

Thank you to the Tigard-Tualatin School District for welcoming us! We’re excited to see how these conversations and strategies continue to make an impact.
