It would be the first Latina sorority at the university and become a large part in the founding of the university's first Multi-Cultural Greek Council. The chapter was founded to promote the voice of the Latino student and the surrounding community, especially for women, young adults and children. ers have excelled academically and pursued diverse and successful professional careers. Gamma Kappa's Founding Line has seventeen founding sisters. "The Phenomenal Seventeen" at their founding, was known as the longest line in Lambda Theta Alpha's 27 years of existence.
