Albuquerque Aikikai: Aikido

Albuquerque Aikikai: Aikido Albuquerque Aikikai is a traditional Aikido dojo. Aikido is a Japanese Budo (martial art) developed by Prof. Morihei Ueshiba in the early 1900s.

It is based on principles of blending with your attacker and neutralizing aggression. Visitors are always welcome at Albuquerque Aikikai. We offer beginner's classes several times each year. Training in Aikido helps you integrate body, mind and spirit while developing respect and compassion, learning self-confidence, and getting in shape. Unlike many martial arts, Aikido is non-competitive. Traini

ng is cooperative. Students work to develop good character and evolve the creative side of the brain. We have a close collaboration with Kurita Shihan of Kuritajuku Aiki in Mexico City.
