June 17th, 2025 meeting, 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Meeting Topic: Talk by Ray Mondragon – “Babel: Myth or History – The Importance to Creation Science.” (Part II)
Abstract: “There are 4 foundational historical events that had drastic effects on the entire world: Creation, Fall, Flood, and Babel. These 4 events set the foundation for all the rest of world history. This talk is the 2nd of two sessions on the Babel event. In this 2nd session, I plan to show evidence from archaeology of early high technology all over the world that more than likely has its origin from Babel. This is evidence supporting the biblical chronology of a young earth and the biblical worldview on early history rather than an evolutionary process. I will review the biblical text (Gen 11:1-9) to set the foundation for the discussion on the implications of the event.”
Speaker Biography:
“I haven’t always been a true believer in Jesus Christ. I grew up Roman Catholic in a small northern NM town (Taos). But it wasn’t until I was a student at UNM that I realized that something was missing—a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Being an athlete, I saw first hand from fellow athletes, what a real Christian looked like. Being involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, we were immediately thrust into ministry. Before long I developed a passion for studying God’s Word and discovered a gift for teaching it . . . ” (Ray’s website)

Ötzi’ the Iceman and the post-Babel settlement of Europe
Tue, May 20th, 2025 AD
7:00 – 8:30 pm
Abstract:
Since the discovery of a Stone Age ice-mummy in the Ötzal Alps in 1991, a large dataset has been developed containing radiocarbon, genetic, and geographic information from ancient human remains.
Using a biblical radiocarbon dating scale, these data can be used to map the post-Babel dispersion into Europe beginning with Neanderthals and followed by anatomically modern Neolithic farmers from whom the Iceman descended. When the data is interpreted in the light of Genesis 10 and 11, the grandsons of Noah appear to be the likely source of the major Y-chromosome lineages found in the world today.
Thus, the Babel event recorded in the Bible explains the origin of the nations and their genetic characteristics.

Babel: Myth of History - The Importance to Creation Science
There are 4 foundational historical events that had drastic effects on the entire world: Creation, Fall, Flood, and Babel.
These 4 events set the foundation for all the rest of world history.
This talk will be the first of two sessions on the Babel event.
In this first session, Ray plans to contrast the secular view with the biblical view on the origin of languages and the nations.
He will expound the biblical text (Gen 11:1-9) to set the foundation for the discussion on the implications of the event.
He will also give at least one example from archaeology for evidence of the rapid development of technology rather than an evolutionary process.
The second session will focus on several examples from all around the world of early high technology, supporting the biblical worldview on early history.

March 18 (Tuesday, 7:00 – 8:30 pm)
Meeting Topic: Talk by Marshall Jordan – “A biblical radiocarbon chronology for dating the Joseph Famine and the Exodus.”
Abstract: “A secular radiocarbon chronology has been published for dynastic Egypt based on uniformitarian assumptions. This chronology gives dates incompatible with biblical chronology as understood by scholars who hold the Bible to be God’s Word. The recent publication of a biblical radiocarbon curve allows the secular errors to be corrected, providing evidence that Joseph and Israel entered Egypt during the reign of Pharaoh Djoser of the 3rd dynasty. The poor quality of data based on artifacts prevents radiocarbon dating from showing the pharaoh of the Exodus, but neither does radiocarbon dating overturn the historical research pointing to the Exodus in the reign of Anenemhet IV of the 12th dynasty.”

Video: John Kinzer – “George Washington Carver: Educator, Scientist, Man of God”
Abstract: “George Washington Carver is perhaps the greatest Scientist ever produced in America. Many believed he was this influential because he studied, researched, and taught the next generation of farmers to conserve the soil. His study and teaching renewed farming in the Southern states and the soils were made more fertile. Instead of continued erosion and wearing out of the soil, farmers planted peanuts and other legumes during part of the year, and these plants fixed Nitrogen into the soils and renewed the farms for the next planting.
Born a slave, Dr. George Washington Carver, had the heart to work hard, loved to learn, and he became a Scientist, an Educator to the next generation of farmers, and lived in the light of his belief in God and the Lord Jesus Christ. He was Scientist, Educator, and Man of God. This teaching presents the life and work of this great man and scientist. His work found over 300 uses for the peanut and 108 uses for the sweet potato revolutionized farming, making the planting of legumes profitable and promoted crop rotation, good management and godly stewardship of resources and agriculture. One could correctly state that this man saved agriculture in the South following the Civil War and into the 20th century. Important Biblical principles and truths were illustrated in his life which began in slavery and ended in honor.”

“Problem of Evil – Insights from Creation Science”
Abstract: The problem of evil is the most powerful argument used by atheists against the existence of God. The early chapters of Genesis give a lot of insight into the problem of evil issue and lays the foundation for answering this issue. We will start with insights from Gen 3 and then attempt to give a biblical answer to the problem of evil.
