Hello Hawk Families,

My name is Toni, I am the President for Parent Involvement Organization (PIO) (similar to PTA) At this time we are looking for 2 NEW Board Members for 2024-2025 school year, you can volunteer yourself or nominate another parent that you feel would do great in supporting our teachers, staff and students throughout the year! It is a full year commitment, our meetings are once a month. Board members do require an APS background check to be on file.

The PIO works to support the Volcano Vista families, teachers, staff and students to bring a closer relationship between the home and the school environment; promoting a quality learning environment.
Activities.

The PIO also participates with the Volcano Vista Instructional Committee to help make decisions regarding student schedules, parent/teacher conferences, the Advisory Program and other curriculum issues.

This includes a four person Executive Board and parent volunteers who assist with activities, fundraisers and events sponsored by the Organization.

Board Member positions were NEED:

Vice President: Works as the primary aide to the President to help lead the PIO towards its goals. Must be ready, willing and able to step into the President’s job in case the President is unable to complete his/her term for any reason.

Secretary: Secretary shall keep records of all the proceedings of the organization, shall notify members of all meetings, and shall Shall keep and maintain important administrative records, including parent/staff membership rosters and mailing lists including.

Final Reminder for Graduation

Graduation is May 21st at 9:30am at Tingley.
Seniors must be seated by 7:45.
Doors open to the public at 8:30. Tingley staff will be using metal detectors/clear bag policy. No balloons, noisemakers, or glass vases will be allowed in the ceremony. Get a good nights sleep, stay hydrated, and have a healthy breakfast, it'll be a long morning!
