Please join us in welcoming Mr. Dorsey and Ms. Easley to the Zuni Team. Mr. Dorsey is our half-time night custodian and Ms. Easley will be teaching 3rd grade.

Please join us in congratulating the following staff members who are returning as permanent staff (Ms. Yu, Ms. Fredricks, Ms. Carmichael, Ms. Garcia-Koren and Ms. Reeser) and/or in new positions (Ms. Bingham-Interventionist, Ms. Donato-Kinder, Ms. Hamilton-2nd Grade, Ms. Garnand-4th Grade, Ms. Garcia-Koren-Gifted, Ms. Guttierez-Spec Ed EA). Also congratulations to Ms. Telle who will go from half-time librarian to full-time librarian.

Please join us in welcoming Rachel Thomas and Evelyn Vanderpool to the Zuni Team. Ms. Thomas will be a 4th grade teacher and Ms. Vanderpool will be a Kinder EA.

A reminder school dismisses at 11:00 today. This is the last day to purchase Roller Skate City summer passes. Proceeds go to the PTA. They are being sold in the 2/3 hallway.

We want to say a great big THANK YOU to the Field Day Planning Committee: JoLynne Vigil, Amy Lorimer, Janet McLaughlin, Leonard Dorsey, Kelli Isakson, Coach Levi and Johanna Rondeau. This committee helped make the day run smoothly for the students allowing them to be safe and have a great deal of fun.

Thank you too to the many, many family members and staff who spent the day outside helping maintain safety and ensure a fun day for the students.

And last, but not least, a special thank you to Chris Romero, our DJ extraordinaire-of-the-day of Cutmaster Music, and one of our families. He gave his day to help keep rotations going and the music pumping, which always helps liven up an event.

Sorry for early message. Please put sunscreen on your student for Field Day at home; we cannot do so for them at school. If your student has a water bottle, please send too.

A quick last minute reminder. If your child has an outstanding cafeteria balance or a non-returned library book, his/her progress report will be withheld until the balances have been settled. Please contact the cafeteria or librarian if you have received prior notices. Thank you.
