Yip man 1893 -1972
I find this amazing and how so many Wing Chun people are so disconnected of the history of Yip Man not Eye P*e man Donnie Yen who is now owned and operated by CCP there version of Hollywood.
1899-1901 boxer rebellion. The Yip family delt will the western occupation and control. It took a toll on them. It was a start of the brokenness. It was very catastrophic in China. And took a toll to the people. The western world is not kind it's not about freedom as it's portrayed. Its about control. Not freedom. It's what is used. Even to this day.
Japanese occupation 1937-45 Beijing to Nanking was horrible. Yip man again oppressed and distraught. China is torn apart. People are being killed in groves. I'm sure he felt the he wasn't going to make it. There are many very well written accounts of what the Japanese did and the horrors of the occupation to the Chinese. It ends in 1945 too a point. But it also opens a door to a more difficult problem and down fall for China and it's people.
The fall of China starts in 1911 with the PRC. But is completed in 1949. And it's leader Mao creates it's over throw in the communist state. PRC.
Yip man leaves to create a place for his family to stay in Hong Kong. But as he returns tried to get them the iron Curtain is drawn . Not he is locked out. Family separated. Her and the boys in the communist Mao China. Him in the British colony Hong Kong. The biggest question is his emotional state? What was Yip Man running from? The communist,Mao PRC. Not the Japanese as the movie portrayed. It's obvious. Mao was very Destructive on his own people with Control war and death. And there is so much more to this story and Yip Man's life that is never talked about. And what portrayed is general and surface.
Donnie Yen. His mom comes out of the CCP wushu Cultural revolution 1966-1976 the motto. To get rid of the old and bring in the new. Real kung-fu teachers were treated very bad and imprisoned. She rears her son Donnie Yen. In China too Boston. And teaches.
IP MAN movie. Donnie Yen. Portraits Yip Man. 98% fictional what was he running from? Death and destruction war and communism. It's why he Yip Man. Not Eye P*e man which is a fictional story and character. Donnie Yen,Jackie Chan and so many others are of the Chinese Communist party. There version of Hollywood. The movie doesn't come out and say that Yip Man fleeing the communist party Mao's PRC... or points it out. Because the story is modified and not to point out he fleeing the communist state. And Donnie Yen is now apart of the thing that Yip man is running from.
I find it baffling how Wing Chun people have no clue of there history and oppression of Yip Man and other teachers that fleeing for there lives. But the CCP is rewriting the history. And I know this what I wrote is historical fact. It Will p**s people off. Do I care? No. Is Donnie Yen IP man or EyeP*eman. No not even close. The movie's value is the 99 cent bin at Wal-Mart. To be thrown Away. It's really a disgrace too a man that tried to live properly and was dumped on by country's that kept people oppressed . And his mother that came out of the cultural revolution of Mao's reconditioning communist identity and recreation of kung-fu into wushu. The motto.. get rid of the old and bring in the new. Or else you will be reformed.
Keep this in mind. The movie focuses on the Japanese occupation. It makes no mention of Mao's PRC over throw and the real reason why Yip Man ran from the communist. The eye p*e man (Donnie Yen owned by CCP)version is pure bu****it and CCP influence. But people love riding coat tails and rewrite history. This is a good example of that.

I had a very interesting conversation with 2 MMA fighter's. One is a pro and over 2 decades. I know him and his parents. He's coming too the end of his MMA career. What he said it there much much more and beyond MMA. It's sport and entertainment. All show. Just money too get your ass beat and over time have long term medical issues.
What he said too me was my knowledge as a real martial art. And it's about family. And healing. I was very surprised as he was talking too me. And taking back. Because he has been used as in what UFC MMA does for entertainment and lots of money.
As he proceeded too talk with me he asked me if I was open too teach children and teens of the less fortunate? I said. You know I would. You don't have too ask. He told me . Brother we are both Hispanic with deep roots too New Mexico. I agreed. And he said you have a very incredible kung-fu background and it's very indepth. I admire that about you. The MMA guys here ignore you and disrespect you and others that are real. I said it's OK 👍. You understand because you are inelegant and I know some have steered you in the wrong place. Yes I know. It's suck..
What I want too do is build a gym and give back too our kids. And or very messed up society. It's doesn't know the difference in MMA sport and what you know is a martial art. I said you have my number let's do it. And we shook hands and hugged each other. I be safe guard your heart ,mind spirit and soul. He was happy. I haven't seen him smile in 20 years like that.
Another way a semi pro MMA whom I had to privilege too train in the mid west and here in Albuquerque. Said MMA is clueless for the most part of its martial art roots. And it's limited. Because it's a sport. What you know and do doesn't have roles and it's not about entertainment. It's fu***ng tuff. And you have to use brain space which most don't have in MMA. I listened and agreed. But you it's endless and your a study and a wealth of knowledge. Because of the generation you came out of. I like MMA too a point but I back off as he shared with me. I understand your point. I told him get ready because I'm coming out soon and you have more training too do. He was happy and told me you never have to worry when you're Here. We have you 100% covered. I told him I have much respect for him and all the guy's in there training. I went as far as being there corner man/ cut man and holding license card in there state. What I did learn is these guys went full circle. And now understand my path and a relationship friendship. With depth.

In this photo are some very amazing group of Wing Chun students in Bangkok Thailand. To my left is maytee who is my student Here in the USA and Bangkok Thailand. He's made so many things happen for me to share my art and information too the next generation. To my right is SATO. Not the person behind us. These are students of a primary teacher in Bangkok Thailand Anant is there teacher . He also is amazing They train at the park.
Sato when he found out I'm in town he would go out of his way to make sure I was accommodated. Always will water and the real red bull . Not the crap they sell as red bull here in the USA. And do to jet lag. He would greet me as I was walking into the park. And we bow too each other .which is common in the culture of respect.
In this photo of us to my left is my student in Bangkok Thailand and also USA. He is the one to make this possible. For me to teach and share with others over many years.
I was called one morning 2 yrs ago about Sato. Maytee would tell me he's no longer with us. I was in shock and taken back very hard. I could not believe he gone and so young. In his 40s. Gone..I was in disbelief. He had so much love compassion and. drive to share. Too this day I always think about Sato. And his love he shared with the world. One early morning I was told at breakfast I have a engagement with Sato 700 pm. So I got my thing's ready. 700 pm came and Sato and the guys were at the door. Sato couldn't wait to show me his new car. He was excited. We drove for 30 minutes on the highway to a noodle shop. It was his favorite place. And he lived next door. He was proud to share his world with me. That impressed me. We ate and then met the family. Amazing family. Then he said we have something special for you. I was baffled as too what? It's 1045 pm night. You will see. 45 min drive we park in from of a building. Walk in and it's a party thrown on my behalf. 5 course meal. Real Thai food. OMG.... this guy is off the chart. He has a big bottle of Singh beer for me my favorite. Then tells me let's sing together karaoke 🎤. Lol OK so I request bon Jovi dead or alive. He was wow.....! We did it. And it was crazy but fun... and then ate and had amazing conversations with so many people.
Sato your time here on earth was for a good reason. Your love is amazing. You touched hearts and smiled all the time. God gave you a amazing gift of compassion and love towards people. Your truly missed by me and so many others. When I go back home to Bangkok you are always there with me. Thank you for what you have done. And God's grace is apon you and your family. A truly blessed man.

David Duran a student in taos under the direction of Barnaby Hazen who has trained under me since 1993 has pass on. David I personally have known for 15 yrs. He was very accomplished martial artist. When I received the news I was very shocked because I had seen him a few weeks back. He lived in taos New Mexico . I also grew up there my father's from there . We knew people together David and I. He knew my cousins.
David would always question every thing I did. I never had a issue That. I would show him and throw him around. His response was . It just hurts. But I completely respected him and his approach of studying. He will be miss deeply as well to the Day I depart for this earth. My sorrow is heavy for him and others that have been under my teachering. And too there family's. It's tuff. My David Duran rest with our father whom gives us the peace and love we all seek. And the grace in christ. And too the family that have been affected by the loss. May you all be blessed by his grace.

There is a time of birth and joy. And there is a time when it comes to a end. At 42 is very young to depart. Toni barracco who would come to me and inquire about studying. Not just basic training but a real study. And she did. Was it perfect..? No. But she put the time and effort. Yes very much so.
She was dealing with her mental disorder. I knew it and I would work out out with her. There were good and very bad days. But she trusted me. And I completely trusted her. This video of us is 4 yrs ago. I always openly share and show students. Because it's in the best interest of all of us. Toni you will be missed and loved by us. You were a very special person and yes it showed. The times I share things with you and you would Crack jokes about it. It was fun. Your love and compassion is very unique and important too all of us. May our father in heaven take you in in his grace and give you comfort in his home. God bless you. And thank you for being in my life that I have been able to share with you..
My 2nd video of her with Floyd Gutierrez another one of my students who also passed away too early. They where brother and sister in the Wing Chun. He is also missed. Both of you have made a huge impact on me and others. It's still a shock us. Both of you. Are in grace and rest. Blessings too you and family.

As the weekend transpired I was introduced to another teacher of a southern system which I know who he is and his system. He knew about me and what I have accomplished. As I have said too him it's very difficult because you have to let go and let it come to you as you explore your self in change. He said your so 100% correct. So many miss it and don't get it and clueless. Because teachers today don't have a very in depth understanding of themselves and solid foundation of communication. It's just surface. Meaning that they just only teach surface mechanical techniques that do not have any foot work. As he said it's just standing there thinking there one punch and pak Sao will save them but they yjkym stance is so incorrect. It's bracing and easy to knock over and no body to generation of power to punch. It's obvious. He agreed with me. In his words Wing Chun people are easy to knock over and take care of.. my response was correct. He asked how do you stand? I got off the chair and he was very surprised. It's narrow. Push on me. He did and it bounced him back. He said it's very solid like metal but springy. I took 2 fingers and moved him back off his feet as I stepped 2 inches he moved 5 feet backwards and off his center. He smiled and said I like that. It's amazing and very different from what I have seen and crossed with Wing Chun people. I told him they don't have body just empty arms. Soggy noodle arms. And empty body
He asked me about foot work. I told him it's 8 pattern. I showed him 3 as he came in for a attack. I would stop him dead in his tracks and couldn't fire off any of his tools. I said too him I stopped you in mid flight and then I step in and controlled your body so your tools don't work. He response was. Wow. Love it. And difficult to feel and respond to. Yes like stealth. Today's Wing Chun people use pak and tan Sao that's a s**tty combative combination that gets them (Wing Chun people) their asses handed too them. Then I broke it Down to how I did it my entry was actually Chi Sao. But it's not the crap Sao you see them do today. The so called master's too grandmasters self imposed. Lol. We both had a lot to share and learn from each other. It for me was amazing to have his input and love of sharing together. As I told him. There are way too many fake master's to grandmasters because that's how the cash 🐄 is created and its all about control. He smiled. You got that right.

This weekend I was at a TCM competition. I'm one of was one of the founding members. It goes back as far as 1993. I have met many unique teachers and students. I have trained many people and fighter's. Both amateur and professional. All over the USA and world. I have never limited my self in any thing that I have done. Have I failed. Yes I have. But I learned to pick myself up and start all over again. And start over till I get it right. Nothing is perfect. You have to strive to get there.
A teacher that I met at the table had asked what is my primary art and how many years? My response was almost 5 decades. Originally started in northern shoalin then Wing Chun. He said you been been long as I have . Yes. But so much is lost today in the Chinese martial art world. Yes your correct. Because nobody to day really Wants to study . And also train. Those are two different identities. Study gives you the understanding of your history and lineage of where you come from and the secrets of your art. It's a tuff one. Training is Training. It's important but you don't put that over your study and as so many do. As I told him you see this in Wing Chun . And you see how bad Wing Chun has become. It's a joke Today. He agreed. He asked if I come from a Yip man lineage. I do. 3rd generation. 1st generation USA under my teacher. And listed in the geology of Yip Man Wing Chun Hong Kong 1989.
I said to him. This actually doesn't mean s**t.....! Why. .? Because if I can't back it up to my self and have to ride on my teachers coat tails. It's bu****it. And that's what we are seeing. It's a joke. And they are calling it . We teach traditional Yip Man Wing Chun. It's not. It's just a cookie cutter. And you said that the Wing Chun people you encountered have no footwork your so correct. They have no body just empty arms that are what we call noodle arms. No power. And think that Wing Chun is a magical system and you can fight right away. That's the myth that the Hong Kong students created for the westerners. I know I've been around a very long time and met so many of them that I was not impressed. Even to this day Bruce Lee is not something I don't look up too. He's a very sad story too me. And it's not one of influnce.
He just smiled and said I understand where your coming from. I said to him . There is nothing traditional about Wing Chun. They make it up as they go along. Example look at Chi Sao . It's looks like s**t and not functional today. Because what I see I never learned that in what we see today. It's garbage. And just empty. But they will tell you all the buzz words to sell it too you that it's high level when it's not. I said to him talk with any Wing Chun person about the Kuen kit. They will have a blank look. Because they are clueless as to what it is and if they know what it is they will dismiss it and your conversation. Oh we don't use it . It's flowery language is the other stupid response. All systems have their Kuen Kit. It's how systems are preserved. Oh and Don't talk about qi gong this is where you really see stupid comes out and assumptions. What I'm Sharing with you is how bad it's become and how they think that they can make it better. Lol. . We both laughed. He asked me if I know the medical side of the art Dit Da. I do very well and still in study with that. Another issue that the westerners make fun of because there lack of education. And pure ignorance of a study . He agreed. As we rapped it up we had a great conversation and now open to have more time to study and train together because it's a language of understanding. Unlike we see today.

Thank you for the response to the last post. In the conversation with the teacher I had also shared with him about chi sao and how today it's sloppy and what I call S**t Sao or what we called it back in the day . It's so bad it's not functional. Sloppy no control and just random trying too hit. Do you know why is called Chi Sao? Yes .. It's sticking hands. Are you sure? Because there is a medical reason behind it. And wing chun people are clueless as the medical side of of there art. Another dead give away is SLT as a pure Qi gong set and you do it as a exoskeleton mechanical movement. Limited. Do you ever know as too why you start your form on the left side? Again there is medical reason as to why.. No. I don't. You have been told all the tools are in slt . That is true but it's just 1/64 of the form. Your clueless as in what is a kuen kit is like so many that disregard it and say. Well it's just not functional. And out dated. You limited brain and understand it's based on language . Now that's a brain stretch for you and will make you brain fart. You don't have a clue on meridian food and how it works. But like the rest you will say it doesn't exist. When it's been studied and providing. And documented Medically. In the Western medical society. Your clueless like so many limited wing chun people.
Say like in chi sao you do you mechanical rolling then you try to use your slap Sao like you tried on me and it's so over rated I just jammed you. And you went back. That's so low level. If you tried that on a southern mantis or hung gar practitioner you will get your was handed too you and your arm broken. And you could not hold up to there punches. Playing that stupid chi sao game. You have no control . In your chi sao. And you can't create the chin Na that's in the chi sao. To control and destroy the opponent. You slap Sao then you limited one punch. In the opening sequence of slt it's throw. You don't see it. Because you stance work is too wide and unstable. A very common theme in wing chun people today. Trying to capitalize on 2 dead people . Yip Man and Bruce Lee both dead and so far back last century. Why? They can't do there own wing chun and have to use them to market there wing chun shell.
He was baffled and looked so lost in the conversation and after i crossed hands with him. But as always he went back too his comfort zone like the little kid with his baby blanket. Lol 😆.

I was asked by a wing chun teacher how come I talk s**t about wing chun ? And that I'm a wing chun teacher as well.
I told him it's simple. Can you really fight? Not in a sport environment. Ring , cage with rules timed for rounds and boxing gloves. He said he does . So you do sport environment wing chun. What 98 % of wing chun people do. All for personal entertainment. Because that's what it is and emotional not logical based on reality.
Have you ever fought in the street ? No..! It's dangerous and very difficult and dangerous.. Well I see you don't play where the big boys go. Because we would do it for money back in the day. If we fought in a ring it was bare fi**ed with no gloves with boxers. And no issues. I see your foot work is limited . You do the classic westernized version just trying to go straight in and your one punch as what the limited version we see today. You are clueless about the 8 punches and 8 stepping patterns. And I see you do the same as like so many wing chun people do. You go to the out side and have no timing skills to enter in the inside to control, stick and create damage. You talk a big game about it but I see how you enter . Out side and you get your ass handed too you. With your weak punch and limited punch and limited foot work . With no control as you see how i control the opponent. .
You have told me wing chun has no ground game. Another lie that has been taught in wing chun Hong Kong British colony version . You are clueless as too why I call it that. It has 8 throws along with the foot work. And you add another sport BJJ . That's pretty sad to say the least. You tried it again me . I pinned you and locked you down in pain on your torso and arm that it went numb. Again you do sport. Because it's what BJJ is and a great form of entertainment .
What happened when you tried too kick me? Well it didn't go well you countered my kicks. Lol.. Of course you have your one weak kick the front kick and I smashing it with my knee and elbow to break it. Oh and your round house kick. Weak limited and nothing there. Do you know there are 8 kicks? Well we were never shown that. Of course the so called master's to grandmasters your there money and control you for money very typical. And talk too you about yip man and how Bruce Lee did it. So typical of wing chun society . It me it lives on the past of dead people. And it's about control for your money. And there way is the only way. Now that's control. And stupid.
Now you see why I talk s**t about wing chun .
It's limited all about control of you and your money. As I taught . My teacher said why do you want my wing chun? Can't you train hard too make it your wing chun? Because at this point wing chun owns you. You don't own it...
To add all the sport in your wing chun because you don't have the tools that wing chun really has so you are like a wing chun kick boxer . Not high level. Me I just smash people as I was taught and control them so I can smash them more. And no I don't back up like you do.
It's obvious in how i answer your question. Your addicted too how you were programmed in your kick boxing version. I'm not. You have never fought a very powerful southern or northern kung fu practitioner. Because it's out of your comfort zone. Lol. What I see today is a joke and none functional. Unless you do your sport environment version so you can be safe. Good luck because your not ready too step out of the box into the real world.

Another one of my logo tee shirts that was created back in the 90s.
