Rule number one in yachting: always smile.

Sounds simple, but it’s the thing captains and crew actually notice first. Skills can be taught in ten days. Attitude can’t.

Every guest, every long charter day, every early morning, the crew that smiles is the crew that gets asked back next season.

Our September group has this part down already 🤍

Instructor said “keep moving to stay warm”.
They listened 🦞

Immersion suits are designed to keep you alive in cold water. Nobody said anything about dancing in them, but nobody said you can’t.

What’s the one thing you’d have to leave behind to do this?
Too old, no experience, too risky, the wrong time?

Everyone who lands in Split says some version of it, and most of them are quietly terrified on day one.

This group came from offices, salons, hotels, restaurants. Not one of them had ever worked on a boat. Ten days later they’re certified, they’ve trained on a real yacht, and they’re walking the docks looking for their first season.

Nothing about it is magic. They just booked it anyway.

October and November are the last dates of 2026 and only a few spots are left.
DM us “YACHT” and we’ll send you everything.

Can you work on a yacht with tattoos? He asked it out loud so you don’t have to 😂

Real answer from our trainer in Split: a small forearm tattoo won’t end your yachting dream. Most boats are fine with it. Stricter ones just ask you to cover it during guest hours, makeup, a plaster or long sleeves and you’re good. The actual dealbreakers for guest-facing roles could be hands, neck and face. And honestly, the industry keeps relaxing. Fewer and fewer job ads even mention tattoos.

“lil sis” passed inspection today 👍

Dock walking is still how most yacht crew get their first job. Not job boards, not sending CVs into the void, walking the marina and asking in person.

We see it every single training: students who dock walk get daywork within days, and daywork is what turns into the first contract. Several of ours have had job offers before the training was even over.

The rules:

1. Ask for daywork, not for a job. Almost every first contract starts as one day of work.
2. Go early. Crew are on deck before 9am, by afternoon they’re busy or gone.
3. Look like crew, not like a tourist. Polo, shorts, clean shoes, sunglasses off when you speak to someone.
4. Never step on board uninvited, and never when guests are on. Stand on the dock and ask politely.
5. Keep a printed CV with you. Every single day.

Tomorrow morning a new group lands in Split and their 10 days begin. Bags are packed, nerves are real, and honestly, we can’t wait.

Here’s the thing though: after this group, October and November are the LAST dates of 2026, and they’re almost full. From 2027 the price goes up.

So if you’ve been thinking about it all summer, this is the weekend to stop thinking.
DM us “YACHT” and comment below where you are coming from and we’ll hold you a spot while there’s still one to hold ⚓

This Sunday a new group lands in Split and starts their 10 days.
The hostel, the marina, the dock walks, all of it is about to fill up with new faces.

After this group, October and November are the LAST dates of 2026, and only a few spots are left.

Am I too young for this? Am I too old to start?

Every day, someone asks us the same two questions.

Our last group in August was 19 to 38 years old.

Same training, same opportunity to start — on a real yacht in Split.

If age was your excuse, sorry, you’ll need a new one. 😄

How old are you? Drop it below 👇
