When school lets out for summer, Albuquerque Public Schools keeps serving! 🍎🥐🥕

This year, APS Food and Nutrition Services is partnering with the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County to provide free, nutritious and delicious meals to anyone 18 and under at over 100 sites across the city.

All APS schools and offices will be closed on May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day. As we enjoy the long weekend, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

📌 Classes and normal operations will resume May 26.

Good afternoon Families!
Join us for an exciting week of Field Day fun at Ventana Ranch Elementary School! Students will enjoy a morning full of games, activities, and snacks provided by the PTA.

Field Day Schedule:

Wednesday, May 20 – Kindergarten & 3rd Grade (Mrs. Midgett’s Class will be with 3rd grade)
Thursday, May 21 – 1st Grade & 4th Grade (Miss Baca’s Class will be with 1st grade)
Friday, May 22 – 2nd Grade & 5th Grade
Time: 8:00–11:00 a.m.

We are looking for 4 volunteers per class to help make the event a success! Volunteers will get to participate in the fun and play alongside their child’s class throughout the morning. You are not required to have an unsupervised background check.

If slots are full, we still encourage you to attend! The slots are to make sure we have enough parents for each class.

Please send your child with:

• A water bottle

• Sunscreen applied before school

There will be light water play activities, so students are welcome to bring a change of clothes if needed.
