So proud of this team. They battled until the very end in an incredibly close championship game and earned a hard-fought second place finish. Sports teach us so much more than winning — teamwork, resilience, heart, and how to grow through both victories and disappointments. This group showed all of that and more. What a season and what a team. 💛 💙 🦎

🧶✨ Students at East San Jose Elementary are building creativity, focus and fine motor skills through weaving.
SETT Teacher Resident Brent Bausano recently led a hands-on Genius Hour weaving program where students learned weaving techniques while creating projects to take home and enjoy. The SETT residency program helps future educators gain real classroom experience while supporting meaningful learning opportunities for APS students.

We want to take some time today thanking Explora for their amazing partnership and support of East San Jose’s 1st grade classrooms this 25/26 year! Our students have been hands-on learning with them, and it’s been wonderful to have them. Today was watercolor art with bubbles, and it was a HIT! Today, we celebrate Mrs. Rivera’s Oceans Genius Hour class! These students spent the last 6 weeks learning about our amazing oceans and finished the cycle with these BEAUTIFUL projects. They really made the room feel like an aquarium. 🫧 Way to go Mrs. Rivera, and the students of your genius hour! Go Geckos! 🐠🦀🐳
