We couldn’t have said it better! Serve and return is a pillar of our curriculum and is a huge benefit for your child’s life.

A big thank you to the UNM Lab School for the interactive performance last Saturday! We had so much fun practicing Pop Goes the Weasel and popping to the pizzicatos.

Looking for a music class for your little one? Come join us online Thursday mornings or in the park on Saturday mornings! 🎶

Hear that steady beat and rhythm? This little one took an amazing solo turn while mom marched to the beat of the drum 😍 Making a steady beat is a lot harder than it looks! This activity builds fine motor skills, internal pulse, independence to perform for others, and prepares for the first rhythm in Suzuki instrumental lessons!

We are very excited for tomorrow’s class! We have special guests coming to perform an interactive violin and cello song for us with 🎻Come join us at Hyder Park at 9:30am! Sign up is in the bio.

These little ones can count their drums loud and clear!🥁Stacking and counting are just a few of the skills we incorporate to build readiness for preschool.

Scarves are one of our favorite moments in class! It's a wonderful opportunity for free play and balances out other songs and dances in the class that are structured and guided. The little ones have so much fun using their creativity and musicality to get out their energy and wiggles, and the adults can't help but have fun dancing too. Since the children have freedom to move around the class and decide how they want to play with the scarves, each class is a unique experience. Sometimes you'll see the children share scarves with their adult or other little ones, other times they copy each others dance moves and we all learn how to tap or spin the scarves in a new way. Has your little one taught you new dance move? ✨

If you look closely, you will find so many moments of progress every day in children. Today it was so special to see the youngest student of the class wave with both hands to her friends. It's so exciting to see her social and motor skills grow!

We are excited to offer two weekly classes now! An online class on Thursday mornings and a park class on Saturday mornings. If you live in the Albuquerque area with children under the age of 4, come join our class!!

We’ve moved to online classes! Come have fun with music and develop a memorable and nurturing bond with your child. Our classes are normally held at Maple Street Dance Space, but were canceled due to COVID-19. So, we are excited to offer online donation-based classes to Albuquerque families looking for a weekly children's music class. We meet every Thursday at 9:30am. Contact Jessica Retana for more information!

The Suzuki Music & Movement program is a curriculum for children ages 0-4 with a parent or guardian, and expecting mothers in their third trimester. Our program nurtures musical development in children from the very beginning. In class, we incorporate movement and musical instruments to children’s folk songs while working on developmental and musical skills, such as fine motor skills, the ability to focus, confidence, making a steady beat, producing beautiful tone, and treating instruments with care. The Suzuki Music & Movement program is an incredible opportunity for development in your child from the earliest possible moments.

Getting ready for our online class tomorrow morning and caught these two playing 😻

It reminds me of our Suzuki Music & Movement rhyme: “P***y cat, p***y cat where have you been? I’ve been to London to visit the Queen. P***y cat, p***y cat what did you there? I frightened a little mouse under the chair. 🐭

..More like Frankie frightened Missy Cat under the chair 😹
