There is a new grant. Does not have to be a first time home buyer. It's $17,500. $7500 for closing costs and $10,000 for deposit. (If you have your own $ you can use it along with the $10k.) The main requirement is you need good credit.

There is a new grant where you can receive $7500 in closing costs, up to $10k for the deposit on a home and if you purchase certain homes you can get up to 3% of the price to lower your interest rate. This might be the best one yet.
