A welcome back message from Superintendent Rebecca Jones.
Dear Marshall and Albion Communities,
As we prepare to welcome students back for another school year, there is a sense of excitement throughout Marshall Public Schools. Classrooms are prepared, teachers are planning meaningful learning experiences, buses are getting ready to hit the road, and our staff is eager to welcome students back for another year of learning, growth, and opportunity.
Over the past year, we often talked about the power of being Together. We saw what can happen when students, families, staff, businesses, and community members work alongside one another with a shared purpose. Because of that partnership, our students experienced new opportunities, our schools continued to grow, and our communities became even stronger.
The progress we've made reminds us of something important: great schools are never built by educators alone. They are built by communities that believe in their children, support one another, and invest in a shared future.
This year, we'll continue building on that momentum by creating even more opportunities for students to discover their passions, develop new skills, and prepare for the future. This school year, I'd like to extend an invitation to everyone who calls Marshall or Albion home: Be ALL IN.
Be ALL IN for our children.
Be ALL IN for our neighbors.
Be ALL IN for our communities.
Let's choose patience over frustration. Encouragement over criticism. Service over convenience. Let's look for opportunities to lend a hand, celebrate one another's successes, and leave our schools and neighborhoods better than we found them.
Because when students see adults living those values every day they learn far more than any lesson we could teach in a classroom.
Being ALL IN doesn't require grand gestures. Sometimes it's attending a school concert, cheering on our student-athletes, mentoring a young person, volunteering your time, or supporting a local business. It's choosing to take pride in where we live and investing in the people around us.
At Marshall Public Schools, that's the commitment we're making every day. We'll continue creating classrooms where students feel welcomed, challenged, and supported. We'll continue listening, communicating openly, and making decisions with students at the center of everything we do because every child deserves an exceptional education and every family deserves a school district they can be proud of.
Whether you have a child in our schools, graduated years ago, or simply call Marshall or Albion home, these schools belong to all of us, and their success strengthens our communities.
Throughout this school year, we'll be sharing stories of students, staff, families, businesses, and community members who exemplify what it means to be ALL IN. We believe some of the most inspiring examples of leadership happen not in board rooms or on stages, but in everyday moments of kindness, generosity, hard work, and service.
Thank you for your continued partnership, your trust, and your belief in our students. The future we're building belongs to all of us.
Let's be ALL IN as we continue Building the Future Together.
Welcome back, Redhawks!
Rebecca Jones, Superintendent
