My Philosophy
I feel that every child is a unique individual. All children learn in different ways, and me the provider, children and parents should work together in order to develop the best rate of fun learning for each child. My purpose is to create an environment in which children feel welcomed, safe, respected and free to create, imagine and discover. Me as their provider will help them with
their development by creating an environment that inspires them to learn at a pace which is comfortable for them. I believe children need consistency, shown lots of affection, care, love and respect. I will provide the type of care that a child will feel safe, have lots of fun and learn as well, a place that parents will be worry free while they are hard at work for their family. I believe that play is a very important part of a developmentally appropriate infant and toddler program. It is the young child's way of reaching out to learn about the world around them. I believe it is very important for families and providers to maintain open, honest and consistent communication to best meet the children's needs and to help children feel comfortable and secure. I would suggest parents communicate their concerns, ask questions and provide feedback whenever possible to help better meet their child's needs. I believe in healthy eating and will provide good nutrition to the children in my care. My daycare is enrolled with acd kids food program. We establish healthy eating habits to last a lifetime. Healthy eating habits can stabilize children's energy, sharpen their minds and even out their moods. Infants and toddlers have a flexible schedule which reflects the child's individual needs. They are given individual attention, including lots of time for talking and interacting. I will provide safe, open spaces for children who are walking and crawling to move freely. Children including infants and toddlers, go outdoors daily when weather permits and given freedom to play, explore, move and discover under adult supervision. I believe it is crucial to give every child tender, loving care and make each daily routine a learning experience. I, as an adult will always be available to support children who need specific guidance or extra time to make progress in a certain area of development. Dawn's Little Tots Daycare
