“Work Together Wednesday” was the theme for yesterday’s Week of the Young Child. And we celebrated the power of teamwork—because even our youngest learners can do big things when they work together! By setting up opportunities for children to be helpful, cooperate, and take turns, we are supporting skills outlined in the Nebraska Department of Education’s Birth to Five Learning & Development Standards.

Yesterday was “Tasty Tuesday” for Week of the Young Child.

Yesterday (and always) our youngest learners are building healthy habits that will last a lifetime. Even at 12 months old, children are exploring food in meaningful ways. Through serving themselves, making choices, and enjoying meals together family-style, we are supporting skills outlined in the Nebraska Department of Education’s Birth to Five Learning & Development Standards.

💙 Blue looks beautiful on all of us 💙

Today, our little learners and amazing staff came together, dressed in blue to support Child Abuse Awareness Month. Each smile, each outfit, and each moment captured represents something so important—a commitment to keeping children, safe, loved, and supported.

At our center, we believe every child deserves a happy, healthy, and protected childhood. By wearing blue, we’re helping raise awareness and showing that our community stands together for our children.

Thank you to State Senators for unanimously passing today on Final Reading, with provisions from . This bill will reduce challenging administrative burdens and regulatory barriers for childcare providers, including streamlining background checks and increasing opportunities for eligible volunteers to help fill the gap in providers’ staffing needs, particularly in rural areas. The bill now heads to the Governor's desk.

We did it — LB304 has officially passed!

This means thousands of Nebraska families can continue to access affordable child care, so parents can work with peace of mind knowing their children are in safe, supportive environments where they can learn and grow.

This didn’t happen by chance: it was a true collective effort. Thank you to everyone who called, emailed, showed up, and spoke out. Your voices made a difference.

We’re also grateful to the state senators who recognized the importance of this bill for Nebraska’s families and workforce, and to Senator DeBoer for championing as her priority bill this session.
