🪨✝️ “On this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” — Matthew 16:18

Jesus does not promise His Church an easy road. He promises us something far better: the gates of hell will not prevail against us.

Built on Christ and His saving confession, the Church stands because He is faithful. Through His Word and Sacraments, Jesus continues to gather, forgive, strengthen, and preserve His people.

Join us this Sunday as we rejoice in the Church that belongs to Christ—and in the promise that no power of hell can overcome what He has built.

Sometimes faith doesn’t have a long speech or fancy words. Sometimes it’s simply, “Lord, help me.” And that prayer is enough to bring us to the feet of Jesus, who hears, has mercy, and gives what we truly need. After the wind ceased and the waves grew still, the disciples fell before Jesus in worship. What began in fear ended in faith, as they recognized the One who rules over wind and sea.
