And MORE coming soon!

Who said there's nothing going on in West County this summer?!?
If you haven't heard, the word is that the old hotel in Girard will soon be no more and the land will be repurposed for other uses.

Thank you to all of the people that have supported the restoration efforts over the years for The Little Church on the Hill.

If it wasn't for so many people supporting the upkeep and care of our little building, we could have had "The Little Parking Lot on the Hill" years ago.

Thankfully, that has not been the case for us!

Supporting history and keeping it alive takes a lot of moving parts!

In order to hold events, you need volunteers, supplies, insurance, and participants.

Upkeep, heating, and electricity are all hidden costs that people don't see, but necessary to keep the doors open with historic gems.

The Elk Creek Township Historical Society is not a huge group, but we do have a LOT of dedicated people fighting behind the scenes every day to keep the doors of The Little Church on the Hill open to the community.

If you are interested in helping as a volunteer, making a donation, or have questions about being involved in any of the living history projects at the church, or any of the collaboration efforts with other historic places like The Valley School Museum, the Albion Area Public Library, the Albion Area Community Garden, the Albion Area Fair or Hope Cemetery Cannon Restoration, PLEASE MESSAGE the Elk Creek Township Historical Society today to find out how YOU can be a part of supporting local area history.

Thank you to everyone for your support, and for helping keep history alive in our little corner of West County! ❀
So much fun today!! Missed class? See us again next week at 830 am
The rest of the Saturdays in June will be at 830 am in the Albion Area Community Garden . Join us for Band Blast only.

"But wait, aren't they calling for rain today??? I don't want to get soaked!!!" you say.

Worry not!! Thanks to Holy Trinity Lutheran Albion Church, we have a solution! If it is too wet to play and write outside, we will be in the social hall of the church.

No more excuses! See you at 11 am for this week's event!

Look how happy our rhubarb made Uncle Brewster when he won our prize donation to The Little Church on the Hill's 8th annual Small Business & Craft Show today!

Missed out on the prize, but still interested in getting your OWN FREE RHUBARB? Well, we have some good news for you!!! Rhubarb is one of the free "Community Beds" at the Albion Area Community Garden.

Want some even better news? Weeding, watering, and HARVESTING those beds count towards volunteer time. Each of those hours adds up to money the garden spends up updates and improvements to make the garden even better for the community that we serve!

Keep growing fans!
