🎣 Congratulations, STMA Bass Fishing Team! 🎣

Congratulations to the STMA High School bass fishing anglers, who finished SECOND in the statewide team tournament yesterday! 🥈

This comes just two weeks after one of the STMA teams finished 11th out of 100 teams that qualified for the state tournament!

We are incredibly proud of our student anglers and grateful to the coaches and volunteers who give their time and energy to support this outstanding program.

Way to go, Knights! 🎣👏

⚾🥎 Work Is Underway on Our Baseball & Softball Fields! 🥎⚾

We couldn’t be more excited to see work officially underway on our baseball and softball field improvements!

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support of the STMA community. Because of our community, bond projects are becoming a reality and will benefit our children for years to come.

Completion is expected in late fall.

💙💛 A Well-Deserved Honor for School Board Vice-Chair Hollee Saville! 💙💛

What an amazing night at St. Michael Family Night in the Park! We had the opportunity to celebrate STMA School Board Vice-Chair Hollee Saville, who was awarded the Sandy Greninger Community Impact Award by Discover STMA!

The Sandy Greninger Community Impact Award honors individuals who embody the qualities Sandy demonstrated throughout her life: a servant’s heart, compassion for others, a commitment to building community, and the ability to recognize a need—and then do something about it.

Ms. Saville embodies these qualities through her countless hours of service and unwavering commitment to our children, schools, families, and community.

Congratulations, Hollee, on this incredibly well-deserved honor! We are grateful for all you do to make STMA such a special place to live, learn, work, and grow. 💙💛

🛝 A Fresh New Place to Play at St. Michael Elementary! 🛝

Another STMA playground transformation is complete! St. Michael Elementary has a brand-new rubberized playground surface, replacing the traditional wood chips and creating a cleaner, safer, and more accessible space for students.

These ADA-compliant surfaces are part of our bond projects and are designed so children of all abilities can more easily play, explore, and enjoy time together.

It’s exciting to see these improvements taking shape across our district! A huge thank you to our community for supporting the bond referendum and making investments like this possible for our students.

We can’t wait for our St. Michael Elementary students to see their upgraded playground and put it to good use this school year! 💙💛

𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿: 2012

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘄?
I live in Moorhead with my husband Justin, son Levi, and daughter Lilly. After graduation, we moved to Colorado, where my husband was stationed. I eventually went to nursing school in ND. Most of my professional career has been spent as a Hospice nurse. Currently, I work as a nurse manager at a local nursing facility where I run a 31-bed transitional care step-down unit. Both kids play hockey for Moorhead, so we are consumed by that! We enjoy going to the lake, anything outdoors, and living at the ice rink.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗧𝗠𝗔 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂?
Jill Anderson was easily the biggest influence on me as a young adult, athlete, and person in general. What an incredible woman she is and those who learned/worked from her are better because of her.

Always stay true to yourself. Very few people you grow up/go to school with will continue to remain in your life outside of high school. Grow to make yourself proud!

The space has been painted, the new flooring is in, and the new equipment has arrived! We’re getting closer and closer to opening the doors.

I am a Senior Marketing Specialist for The Outdoor GreatRoom Company in Lakeville, MN. My role is everything marketing, from social media management to blog writing, new product launches, sales support, and trade marketing support. It’s a lot, but every day is different, and I’m lucky to work somewhere where I feel valued and supported every day. I also enjoy standing behind products that are made here in MN and are truly one of the best in the market.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗧𝗠𝗔 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂?
KBNG news was really impactful. It made me comfortable with digital media and talking on camera and in front of large groups of people. Those experiences proved really valuable through my college career, personal life, and my professional life as I do videos and podcasts for all those areas.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗧𝗠𝗔 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁?
No matter where life takes you after high school, experience as many things as you can and meet as many people as you can. There’s a giant world outside of STMA and you’ll learn so much about it and yourself. Don’t be afraid to say “Yes” to anything. You never know what you’ll learn or where it will take you.

We are pleased to invite you to consider becoming a member of STMA’s Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC). This group provides input on special education issues to the STMA school district. Parent involvement in the SEAC is especially vital to our efforts! By sharing their unique perspective of what it is like to use these services, parents can help the district to be more effective.
