Event Planning students were tasked with their final project of planning an event from start to finish with all elements that have been taught throughout the year.
Throughout this project, students were responsible for every aspect of the planning process including budgeting, theme development, timelines, marketing, logistics, vendor communication, setup design, problem solving, and teamwork. They had to setup a table and decorate it according to the theme of their selected event. Each student visited each of the table displays and learned about the various events.
This project gives students real world, hands on experience that prepares them for careers in hospitality, tourism and event management. They learned how much work goes on behind the scenes of successful events while also building leadership, communication, creativity, and professional skills.
