AHS Class of 1964 60th Reunion
6/21/24 6:00 PM Dutch Treat Dinner
Location: Hammers’ Hall
102 East Main Street (exactly where Hammers was located)
Local Joe’s will be providing food from the selected menu on the registration form attached.
Cost: $16/person/plus tip
6/21/24 to follow Busted Oak Burbon Society (Bob’s)
After dinner we will walk across the street to Albertville’s first bar which is patterned after the Speakeasy of the 1930s with libations of all sorts, appetizers and a reserved spot for casual conversation. Live entertainment will also be provided. Check out the website!

6/22/24 9:00 AM All-you-can-eat Breakfast Buffet Hammers’ Hall
We will return to Hammer’s Hall on Saturday morning to enjoy a full complement of breakfast foods and lots of coffee provided by Local Joe’s. Reserved seating for the Class of ’64 will be provided.

6/22/24 10:00 AM Albertville: Then and Now Tour
All class reunions transport us back to the days of our youth, and this backward journey will be supported by our first stop. We will walk across the street from Local Joe’s to visit…
1) The Albertville Museum. In its somewhat new location, many new/old items of interest have been added, including our class photo from 1964! The conversations should be lively!
We will leave the museum to walk back across the street to Local Joe’s parking lot to board buses for the
2) Bus tour* of the following:
A) Albertville High School – new facility and programs.
😎 The Lumpkin House – former home of Sue and Jane Lumpkin, now a premiere venue site in the Southeast
C) Sand Mountain Park – The park hosts literally hundreds, if not thousands, of sporting events every year - travel ball of all types, soccer, baseball, basketball, swimming; high school and collegiate sports – baseball, softball, tennis, swimming; a full waterpark, including an indoor aquatic center, and an amphitheater.
D) City Harbor – Guntersville. The site of the old Harbor House has become a thriving commercial center and tourist magnet.
12:45 PM – 2:00 PM Lunch – On Your Own After the buses return us to the parking lot of Local Joe’s, you may find an enjoyable lunch in any one of several new restaurants on Main Street, all within easy walking distance, Bootleggers, Mater’s Pizza, El Sol King Pollo, and Gordo’s.
2:00-4:00 PM Gossip and Games, hosted by Jane Ellen Roberts Center on Broad
