🔔 Good afternoon AES! Tomorrow, Wednesday 8/12 is the first day of school. We can’t wait to welcome your child into the halls of AES for 3rd or 4th grade.

🍏 A few reminders for a successful return:

🖍️Doors open at 7:00AM.
🖍️Instructional Day begins at 7:30AM and students are tardy at that time.
🖍️You may send a snack or $1.00 for students to purchase a snack. No candy or sugary drinks. Water only.
🖍️Make sure your child knows their dismissal plan. (bus #, car rider, etc) We take extra precautions to make sure students dismiss properly but it is best for students to also know their individual dismissal plan.
🖍️All breakfast and lunch is free.
🖍️No cell phones or smart watches.
🖍️Dismissal is at 2:30PM. Please understand buses are sometimes delayed the first few days to ensure bus procedures are properly in place.

Congratulations to AES student Nox Horton! Nox won the Alabama Association of Gifted Children logo contest out of the entire state of Alabama! His logo will be displayed at the state conference on shirts, bags, posters, and more. This is a huge deal and we are so proud of him!

🍎 Also be advised: teacher letters will be sent by mail towards the end of the month. You must have pre-registered your student in PowerSchool with their snapcode to be mailed a letter.

AES Families- come by tomorrow morning (Saturday 6/27) for your summer snack box!

🍎: Free summer snack boxes for our community!

Thanks to our partnership with the Food Bank of North Alabama + some local churches and community groups + Aggie Nutrition -Albertville City Schools CNP, we will be distributing FREE boxes filled with kid-friendly snacks this Saturday morning to help support families throughout the summer months.

📅 Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026
⏰ Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (or until supplies last)
📍 Location: Albertville Primary School (1100 Horton Road, Albertville, AL 35950)

Please note that quantities are limited. Food is distributed on a first come, first-serve basis in this drive-thru distribution. No signup is necessary. Children do not have to be enrolled in school to receive a box. They also do not have to be students at Albertville City Schools.

Each box is free and includes a variety of kid-friendly snacks such as pop-top entrees, juice boxes, applesauce, Cheez-Its, cereal, milk, graham crackers, turkey sticks, yogurt squeezes, Nutri-Grain bars and more.

Come by, spread the word, and help us make sure these resources reach those who need them most!
