The wood chips are out! Our new, cleaner, safer, rubber surface is going in today! As part of the STMA Schools bond project, our playground is getting a much deserved update with a safer, rubberized playground surface. Before you know it our playground will be filled with the sounds of playing children. Thank you voters!

And that’s a wrap! The end of our school year brings our annual “wave off” to our kindergarten students. Thank you kindergarten and preschool students and families for a wonderful school year. Have a safe and enjoyable summer.

Here are some photos from our morning and afternoon Track & Field Day events. What an amazing day! I am so proud of our kindergarteners. They really gave it their all today. Thank you to all of the volunteers that made today possible and thank you to our amazing Phy Ed teachers, Mrs. Hoselton and Mr. Schumm!

Following our inflatable character race today, we honored two of our retiring educators. Bright Beginnings paraprofessional, Sue Hagerty and kindergarten teacher, Lori Wiese. Our students sang Country Roads as a tribute to these outstanding educators. (Not pictured, but also retiring-media paraprofessional, Carolyn Bauer.)

Today was our annual inflatable costume characters race! It’s a great way to get our students excited for our Track & Field Day tomorrow. This year, we had a special guest character. Dr. Foucault joined the fun and won the race!!! The students had so much fun!

In May, Albertville Primary students and staff focused on the Character Strong trait of ‘Creativity’. Students learned that creativity means using your imagination to create something new or to solve a problem. Students were challenged to show creativity by drawing, coloring, dancing, playing, and building. They also learned that they can show creativity by solving problems with friends by working together, listening to others, taking turns, asking for help, or taking a deep breath. One student from each Kindergarten classroom was the recipient of this award. The students were presented with an STMA Character Strong bracelet, a certificate, and a treat coupon for Culvers. Congratulations!
