As you begin your high school journey, each 8th grader received a Class of 2026 commemorative gel pen, compliments of the Herricks Middle School PTA.

More than just a pen, we hope it serves as a reminder that every new chapter begins with a single word, every goal starts with a plan, and every dream begins by writing your own story.

🎓💙 What a wonderful way to celebrate the Class of 2026! On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, the 8th Grade BBQ was held at the Herricks middle school backfield!

The BBQ was filled with smiles, laughter, great food, music, and special moments as students and teachers signed yearbooks and celebrated the end of an unforgettable middle school journey. ✍️📚

A special thank you to our teachers and staff for joining the celebration and for the thoughtful candy treats that made the day even sweeter! 🍬❤️ And, of course, the Mr. Softee ice cream truck was a huge hit with everyone! 🍦

Thank you to everyone who helped make this final HMS PTA event such a memorable send-off for our 8th graders.

A huge thank you to our dedicated HMS PTA volunteers, Executive Board, BBQ Chair, set-up crew, clean-up crew, grill masters, and everyone who generously gave their time to make our 8th Grade BBQ a success.

Whether you planned behind the scenes, flipped burgers on the grill, served food, decorated, organized games, or stayed until the very end to clean up, your hard work and commitment made this special celebration possible.

Thank you for helping give the Class of 2026 a memorable final event at Herricks Middle School. We are so grateful for each and every one of you! 💙🎓

💙 A heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible HMS PTA VP of Special Events, BBQ Chairs, Executive Board, and amazing volunteers for making the 8th Grade BBQ such a wonderful success!

From planning and organizing to setting up, grilling, serving food, and cleaning up, every helping hand made a difference. A special thank you to our dads who spent the afternoon at the grills keeping everyone well fed, and a special thank you to our custodial staff for all their help with cleanup and support! 🍔🌭

The HMS 8th Grade BBQ is TOMORROW, June 24, from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM on the HMS Outdoor Field!

Join your friends for food, music, games, yearbook signing, and one final celebration before heading off to high school. 🍔🌭🎶🎉. Wear your 8th grade t-shirt if you have one!

On June 18, Herricks Middle School proudly celebrated the Class of 2026 at the 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony held at Tilles Center. 🎓✨

From nervous sixth graders to confident graduates, our students have grown so much over the past three years, and we couldn’t be prouder.

A heartfelt thank you to our administrators, faculty, staff, decorating crew and clean-up crew whose hard work helped make this celebration so special.

🌟 At the June 11, 2026 Board of Education Meeting, the Herricks School District recognized and celebrated the dedication and service of our PTA Presidents and Co-Presidents for their leadership and commitment to our schools and community. 💙

A special thank you to HMS PTA Co-Presidents Anna Chung-Ko and Alice Yu for their outstanding leadership, dedication, and countless hours of service throughout the year. Their commitment to supporting students, families, staff, and the school community has made a lasting impact on Herricks Middle School.

The Board also honored Trustees James Gounaris and Henry R. Zanetti for their years of service and contributions to the Herricks School District.

Thank you to all of these exceptional leaders for their dedication, volunteerism, and unwavering support of Herricks students and families. 👏✨
