We left boxes of bags on the picnic table in front of the community center. White is for recycling, black for garbage. Our group is starting from the east end of the frontage road heading toward Petty Creek. Feel free to choose any are of town you want. You can leave filled bags at the community center, and we'll haul them away. Thanks!

Howdy guys. Eryn here again, just posting a reminder about Sunday’s cleanup! It’s from 9-12, we’ll provide garbage bags, and don’t forget ya gloves! Hope to see you there!

Hey Squad! Eryn here! We’ve had a couple of requests for cleanups and we’ve got the first one scheduled for April 22nd from 9am to noon. The first one is just a general town-wide cleanup from the east end to the west end of Alberton proper. The second is the state land that we started last July. The third is up Petty Creek. Finally, the fourth one that’s been proposed so far is the Crystal Springs area. We’ll attack one cleanup a month, so stay tuned for dates beyond our April 22nd cleanup!

Eastbound 60-62 DONE! Thank you, Brigid Davies, Jessie Vaillancourt, and Kevin Tarkio for your help today!

Chris Mitchell, 12 bags of roadside trash are neatly lining the two-mile strip, along with one random pile of miscellaneous non-baggable stuff. Thanks for supplying the team with bags, gloves, vests, and signs for the project!

We'll work on moving the highway adoption much closer to Alberton for the fall cleanup.

I'm sure you've all been wondering when the eastbound highway cleanup is going to happen (and probably a touchup of the westbound side at this point as well).

We're sorry for the delay! A series of other events, plus helping with the Petty Creek cleanup earlier this month, have delayed our plans.

We now have two different sets of family visiting from today through June 12th, which is followed by Father's Day, so the next feasible Sunday for the cleanup is June 25th. I'll contact Chris Mitchell this week to see whether we can schedule the cleanup for that Sunday.

The more help, the better, so please keep that Sunday free if you can!

We're aiming for mid-to-late May to complete our highway cleanup task, but in the meantime, here's another project we'll be helping with, although more volunteers are needed:

Sterling Reese is looking for people to help with a Petty Creek cleanup as part of his senior project. Here are the details:

When: May 7th @ noon
Where: Meet at the boat ramp- petty creek entrance
Lunch is provided!
Message Mckayla Tomlinson if you're interested and want more details. Kids are welcome!

Spring is here, and all the winter buildup of trash is now uncovered. Time to get the squad in action! We're planning the first cleanup attack for April 1st, starting at 1 PM.

A community member mentioned that the trash along I-90 between Superior and Alberton is pretty awful, so let's get as many people together and target that area as our first project of the year.

It was also suggested that we could end the cleanup day with a meal. How about a potluck at the Alberton Community Center?
