Do you like to sing? Do you know someone with memory loss that you could bring to weekly practice? Come Sing with the Lake Song Chorus! Perhaps you are the caregiver, or maybe it is your neighbor, friend or relative.
This unique and joy-filled choral experience is for people living with dementia, care providers, and community volunteers. During weekly rehearsals, we sing old and new songs, learn vocal technique and ensemble skills, share musical memories, and build community.
At a culminating concert, we will display our musical accomplishments and demonstrate how we defy dementia together through music. No previous singing experience necessary! The choir is directed by Diane Heaney and accompanied by Bob Tewes.
