KC Honor guards Mark Van Vooran & Leon Axtman, along with Fr Kurt Farrell, 2 alter Servers, some great musicains & lectors celebrated the annual St. Theodore Mass in the Park (Edgewater Pk, Albert Lea, MN,) Aug 21, 2022. The celebration was then followed with a picnic. Thanks to the coordinators of the event that made this a memorable occassion. Also, a Big Thank you to the one we celebrated-the Holy Trinity- that gave us some wonderful weather that day.

After the recent Memorial Mass, 2 area seminarians, Alex Peters and Mike Szymanske, were awarded $500 scholarships to help them in their studies as they pursue a calling to the priesthood. Presenting the scholarships were St. Theodore's pastor Fr. Kurt Farrell and the parish's KC Honor Guard.

Vatican International Exhibit of the Eucharistic Miracles of the World

St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville, MN, will host the exhibit March 4-March 13, 2022, in the parish center. This exhibit includes 126 historically documented Eucharistic miracles that have occurred in various countries since the Last Supper. These are visible proof of Jesus Christ's Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist. All are welcome including members of other faiths. Free admission. For more information please call Sarah at 651-675-7440. St. Ann Catholic Church is located at: 313 W. 2nd St., Janesville, MN 56048. Congratulations to the 3 candidates that won the 2021 #1590 Knights of Columbus scholarships for $500, to further their education. Evan Blankenship (L) and Maray Lopez (C) will be attending Minnesota State University in Mankato. Travis Nemec is attending South Dakota State. Best Wishes to all Three in their future endeavors.

What we should do with our unused Tuxedo, since we no longer use it- wear it for New Years! My brother and his wife, hibernating because of Covid, had a special night at home with a great dinner and all dressed up. Great Idea! HAPPY NEW YEAR! (May it be better than the last year.)

Attention Albert Lea KC Members:
2- $500 scholarships will be awarded this year. Any Albert Lea active member’s immediate family who is a HS Senior or older is eligible. It must be used for an accredited post-HS education. TO SIGN UP: 1. Pick up the application at the parish office, 2. Label it for the KC scholarship & turn it into the parish office. 3. It must be turned in by April 30, 2020. The funds will be awarded after the recipient successfully completes the 1st semester or quarter of school. Also, did you know: The State KC has a Student Loan Program with very reasonable rates.
