We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came together to help clean up and beautify the exterior of Central Elementary School! From staff and families to community members, our amazing Boy Scouts, and the team from Lowe’s, so many hands came together to make a BIG difference. 🪴🌸
Thank you for pulling weeds, planting, spreading pine needles, cleaning, pressure washing, painting picnic tables, landscaping, and giving your time and energy to make our school a place our students can be proud to call their school. Your hard work has made our campus more welcoming, beautiful, and inviting for our students, families, and staff.
We are so fortunate to have a community that believes in our school and is willing to roll up their sleeves and help make it better. Your generosity, teamwork, and support truly make a difference!

Tomorrow is the big day!

We are looking for volunteers! Please join us for a campus clean up day on Saturday, August 8th beginning at 8:00AM to help clean up our campus and make it most welcoming for our students! Please use this sign up if you able to volunteer so we know who is coming! If you are able to bring any outdoor tools, such as wheelbarrows, shovels, hedge trimmers, etc., it would be greatly appreciated! We are excited to welcome our newest bullpups to Central Elementary!

To help our kindergarten students have a smooth, successful transition into school, North Carolina schools use a Kindergarten Staggered Start. Our staggered start allows teachers to spend extra time getting to know each child, build routines with students, and help every kindergartener feel confident and ready for a fantastic first year of school! Please see the image for your child's assigned staggered start day.

🍎 Big News for Stanly County Schools Families!

We're excited to announce that ALL Stanly County Schools students will receive FREE breakfast and FREE lunch every school day during the 2026–2027 school year through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)!

That means:
✅ No meal application required
✅ No cost to families
✅ Every enrolled student can enjoy nutritious breakfast and lunch each school day

At Stanly County Schools, we know that healthy meals help fuel learning, support student success, and ensure every child is ready to make the most of each school day.

Mark your calendar for Albemarle Parks and Recreation's annual Back‑To‑School Bash is almost here! Join us on August 6 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the E.E. Waddell Center for free school supplies, music, demonstrations, food, and fun for the whole family.

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, please remember there are important health and immunization requirements for some students.
✅ Required immunizations for students entering:
• Kindergarten
• 7th Grade
• 12th Grade
• Any student entering a NC public school for the first time
🩺 Health assessments are also required for Kindergarten students and students entering a NC public school for the first time.
💊 If your child receives medication at school or has a diet modification plan, updated forms will also be required for the new school year.
We encourage families to schedule appointments with healthcare providers as soon as possible to avoid delays before school begins in August.
