๐Ÿ’™ It's a great week to be a Bullpup! ๐Ÿ’™

Monday was World Teacher's Day! We celebrated our amazing teachers with a small gift and lots of appreciation! Our teachers go above and beyond each day to ensure are students are safe, valued, and successful.

Instructional Coach Day followed on Tuesday. We are so incredibly thankful for Britt Hatcher and all she does for East Albemarle.

On Tuesday evening, East Albemarle was recognized by the School Board for meeting academic growth during the 25/26 school year. We are super proud of our staff and students for meeting this goal.

Today was packed with exciting moments and amazing things happening across our building!

Our kindergarten students had two special guest readers. We are so grateful for SCS Board Member Glenda Gibson and community member Elliot for visiting today. Our students were thrilled to host such wonderful guests. Thank you both for your partnership and dedication to supporting our students.

Ellie, a former EAES student, stopped by the school today to donate a box set of Junie B. Jones books. Ellie was cast as Junie B. Jones at The Talent Company's latest production. The Talent Company set a goal of donating these books to every elementary school in the county. Ellie, we are so proud of the great things you continue to do each day!

You all may know our fabulous Jessica Strausser from the front office. Did you know that she often volunteers to drive a bus when drivers are unavailable? Mrs. Strausser is always ready to jump in when help is needed. Today, she was recognized as the Bus Driver of the Week!!

Our district celebrates excellent bus behavior. Each week, one student per district area is named Bus Rider of the Week. Today, one of our kindergarten students, Merci, was awarded this honor! Her award stated: Merci is always cheerful, gets right to her seat, adheres to all bus rules, and is nice to all around her.

What a wonderful week at East Albemarle! ๐Ÿ’™

Did you know that it is Public Power Week? Our third grade students were treated to a visit from Albemarle Electric. Members of the electric division brought the electric line bucket truck, explained safety information, and provided information about the role of a line worker. We are thankful for community partners and appreciation the hard work of Albemarle Electric!

This year, we are being intentional about teaching our students the importance of good character and what it looks like in our school each day.

During the month of September, our character focus was leadership. We want our students to understand that being a leader doesnโ€™t mean being the best at everything. Leadership means doing what is right, giving your best effort, helping others, and being a good friend, even when no one is watching.

We are so proud of the many students who demonstrate leadership in their classrooms, hallways, and throughout our school each day.

Today, we had the privilege of recognizing seven outstanding student leaders who truly exemplify what it means to lead by example!

Congratulations to our September Leaders! We are so proud of you! ๐Ÿ’™

We โค๏ธ our Teacher Assistants!!

Our Teacher Assistants were off campus last Friday, so we took some time today to celebrate them.

Our school would not be the same without the dedication and support of our Teacher Assistants. We are thankful for the love, kindness, flexibility, and overall awesomeness they bring to our school each day! ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’™ What a fabulous week! ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’™ We celebrated Say Hello Week by dressing up and learning about kindness.
โœจ๏ธWe showed our spirit in bright colors, blue, camo, and crazy socks.
โœจ๏ธMs. Poplin's class created a kindness chain to visualize how small acts of kindness connect us all.
โœจ๏ธMrs. Jackson and Mrs. Joffon's students lifted each other up by writing kind words about each other.
โœจ๏ธMs. E hosted an assembly for our fourth- and fifth- grade students to let them know their voices matter.

๐Ÿ’™ Our Jump Rope Club had their first meeting. They jumped, they ran, and they proved how strong they are!

๐Ÿ’™ Outside of the classroom, our fourth graders went on our very first field trip of the year to Reed's Gold Mine.

๐Ÿ’™ A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to the Central United Methodist Women in Faith Circle for their generous donation of tissues and sanitizing wipes. Your support keeps our classrooms healthy and happy!

๐Ÿ’™ HELLO WEEK โ€” STAND WITH AMS ๐Ÿ’™
Friendship is more than simply working beside someone. Itโ€™s the laughs in the hallway, the encouragement on the hard days, the memories made between lessons, and the people who become part of your school family.
This Hello Week, EAES is coming together to STAND WITH AMS as we honor a friend, coworker, and teacher who means so much to our school community. Mr. Delany will be greatly missed. While losing a friend leaves an emptiness that words canโ€™t fully explain, it also reminds us how meaningful every connection can be.
On Monday, let's stand with our surrounding schools and wear Bulldog Blue to celebrate the life of Mr. Delaney๐Ÿ’™ and show Mr. Delaneyโ€™s family and loved ones that our Bulldog family stands together.
Wear your Bulldog Blue. Show your support. Celebrate friendship. Stand together.
Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ

Our thoughts and prayers are with all who knew and loved Mr. Delaney. ๐Ÿ’™
