💙 Learning ELA Through Inferencing! 🔎📖

Our 6th graders are diving into history while strengthening their ELA skills! Today, students explored the causes, symptoms, and discovery of the Bubonic Plague by using inferencing skills to gather clues, make connections, and draw conclusions from what they read.

We love watching students become detectives of the text—using evidence to figure out what happened and why!

Learning is exciting when we connect reading skills to real-world history. Way to go, 6th grade! 💙🐾

🫧 Every child deserves a fresh start.

Clean clothes can make a world of difference in a student's confidence and readiness to learn. That's why we're proud to share Start Fresh Laundry, a local nonprofit providing FREE weekly laundry service for students in Stanly County Schools and area daycares.

The program is completely confidential, family-friendly, and available at no cost. Simply send laundry to school on Monday, and it will be washed, dried, folded, and returned on Wednesday—helping students begin each week feeling confident and ready to learn.

Stanly County Schools is pleased to announce Mr. Riley Honeycutt as the new Assistant Principal of Albemarle Middle School!

Mr. Honeycutt enters his 13th year in public education, bringing a strong background in instructional leadership, educational technology, and student-centered learning. He began his career as a Spanish teacher at West Stanly High School, where he spent seven years building meaningful relationships with students while fostering academic growth and engagement.....

🍎 Big News for Stanly County Schools Families!

We're excited to announce that ALL Stanly County Schools students will receive FREE breakfast and FREE lunch every school day during the 2026–2027 school year through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)!

That means:
✅ No meal application required
✅ No cost to families
✅ Every enrolled student can enjoy nutritious breakfast and lunch each school day

At Stanly County Schools, we know that healthy meals help fuel learning, support student success, and ensure every child is ready to make the most of each school day.
