Cadets braved the heat today as they began the practical portion of Law Enforcement Driver Training!
This critical phase of BLET introduces cadets to the skills necessary to safely operate a law enforcement vehicle under demanding conditions. Training includes pursuit driving, evasive maneuvers, precision driving, controlled braking, and emergency vehicle operations, just to name a few.
The heat may be high, but so is the commitment. These cadets continue to push themselves, sharpen their skills, and move one step closer to earning the badge.
Train hard. Drive smart. Stay safe.

๐Ÿš” Week One Is in the Books! ๐Ÿš”
The first week of our Summer/Fall BLET Academy is officially complete!
We ended a busy first week with the cadets completing their initial POPAT. This first assessment establishes a baseline and gives each cadet an opportunity to see where they stand as they begin their journey through the academy.
We are extremely proud of the effort, determination, and positive attitude these cadets have demonstrated thus far. They have a long and challenging road ahead, but they are off to a great start.
One week down. The journey has just begun! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿš”

Congratulations to Our Newest Officers! ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธ
It was an honor to witness four of our recent BLET graduates being sworn in as officers with the Albemarle Police Department. This ceremony marked the beginning of an incredible journey of service to our community.
Chief Ryan Manley delivered an outstanding message centered on ethics and integrityโ€”two qualities that define exceptional law enforcement officers. Integrity is the cornerstone of this profession. It is the foundation upon which trust is built and the standard by which every officer should live.
I am proud to say these newly sworn officers demonstrated the highest level of integrity throughout their time in the BLET program. Their dedication, professionalism, and character have prepared them well for the responsibilities that lie ahead.
Congratulations to each of you! We are incredibly proud and wish you safety, success, and a long, honorable career serving the citizens of Albemarle. Go make a difference! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿš”
