Vibrant Life

Vibrant Life I'm about living a holistic, healthy lifestyle that I LOVE and helping others do the same I take a holistic approach to health and fitness.

I have a masters degree in Health Psychology, am a certified Health Coach and a fitness instructor. I have a huge passion for health and fitness and strive for balance in my life. It is my goal to help other people along their journey find the kind of balance that works for them and helps them achieve their health and fitness goals! My main areas of focus are hormones & adrenal issues & stress man

agement. What I do and cost of health coaching services

I offer health coaching virtually as well as in person! I meet with clients once a month for a recommended 3 months minimum (this is really up to you, your goals, budget, etc.). I will "interview" you to assess your current habits, health issues, goals, struggles, etc. From there I will develop a specific nutrition and exercise plan that will fit your lifestyle and needs. I will give you "homework" that will depend on your needs and goals. As part of this you will check in with me (we will decide upon how/when together) to report how you are doing with your nutrition/exercise plan. This is HUGE as it is accountability! I am here for you and part of my job is to help you tweak your plan along the way if you need it! I also offer challenge programs in which you do a workout program in the convenience of your own home, follow a nutrition program and utilize the benefits of a super nutrient dense, natural meal replacement to help you reach your goals. With this option I include you in a private Facebook group for accountability, encouragement and guidance. We have fun in these groups and reach goals!! More info:
As a health coach I can help you establish healthy habits, teach you about health and nutrition and guide you along your journey. Please know that, although I hold a masters degree in Health Psychology, I am not a counselor. I am also not a nutritionist. If I feel that you are presenting certain issues that require help that are out of my realm of expertise, I will direct you to such a professional. This is only meant to inform you that I will never try to work with you in such a way that I have not been trained for! Please see my website www.thatvibrantlife.com to schedule a free consultation. Remember: location is not an obstacle!! Our sessions can be conducted online via skype or via Facetime...or phone. I look forward to helping you reach your goals and becoming a healthier, happier YOU!! Remember: YOU are entirely up to YOU!!!

**Your metabolism needs MUSCLE. And in perimenopause, that matters more than ever.**

Because muscle is metabolically active tissue. It helps us use glucose more effectively, supports insulin sensitivity, increases our capacity to store and use energy, and gives us a bigger metabolic “engine.”

And during perimenopause and postmenopause, we have to be SO more intentional about protecting it.

Declining estrogen can make maintaining muscle more challenging. We may notice changes in body composition, strength, recovery, and where we tend to store fat.

But this is NOT the time to give up or give in! Exactly the opposite!!!

It’s the time to **build.**

🏋️‍♀️ Strength train
🥩 Eat enough protein
🚶‍♀️ Keep moving throughout the day
😴 Prioritize recovery and sleep
🔥 Fuel your body instead of constantly restricting it

**Muscle isn’t just about how your body looks.**

The more healthy, active muscle you maintain as you age, the more you’re supporting your metabolic health, physical independence, bone health—and even your cognitive health!! 🧠

So when you see me lifting weights in my garage, that’s what you’re really seeing.

I’m not fighting my aging body.

**I’m investing in the body I want to have for the next 30 years.**

BE INTENTIONAL ⭐️

What happens hormonally after birth?
1. Estrogen drops dramatically.
Progesterone does the same.
Some evidence suggests that women who develop PPD may have a brain that is unusually sensitive to the rapid hormonal withdrawal.

2. Progesterone → allopregnanolone → GABA
Progesterone is converted into allopregnanolone, a neuroactive steroid that affects the brain’s GABA-A receptors. GABA is one of the brain’s major calming/inhibitory neurotransmitter systems.
During pregnancy, allopregnanolone rises substantially. After delivery, it falls rapidly along with progesterone.

That can potentially contribute to:
anxiety
irritability
insomnia
emotional overwhelm
difficulty regulating stress
depressive symptoms

3. Cortisol and the stress-response system change dramatically
Pregnancy itself creates a very unusual hormonal state in the HPA axis—the hypothalamus → pituitary → adrenal stress system.

Researchers have found alterations in CRH, ACTH and cortisol regulation in women with PPD, although the direction isn’t completely consistent across studies.
ALSO:
Estrogen interacts with the HPA axis.
So the huge reproductive-hormone shift isn’t happening in isolation. It is occurring at the same time that the body’s stress-response system is trying to recalibrate.

4. Prolactin changes too
If a woman breastfeeds, prolactin remains elevated and fluctuates with breastfeeding. Lactation also affects estrogen, progesterone, oxytocin and cortisol.
That means the postpartum endocrine environment can remain very different from a non-pregnant woman’s hormonal environment for months, particularly while breastfeeding.

6. Then we have the thyroid
Postpartum thyroid dysfunction can occur during the first year after delivery and can produce symptoms that overlap significantly with depression—fatigue, low mood, cognitive problems, sleep changes, anxiety, etc.

But hey- let’s ignore all of that and just throw psych meds at the problem. What could possibly go wrong 😑

Step one for trying to address perimenopause/post menopause symptoms should not be to add, but consider taking some things away that are causing chaos and interference first!! 👈

We are so inflamed due to our standard American diet and lifestyle that our cells cannot get the nutrients in that they need, toxins cannot be released appropriately and communication to our hormones is just plain messed up!!

Need help figuring out how to reduce the toxin load in your life? Comment LIST for my own favs! 💫

I love a brand new month, especially as we get closer to a season changing.

It’s an opportunity to start fresh and reset.

Especially in perimenopause and post menopause - our hormones are changing. Our bodies are changing. Our priorities are changing.

I declare August about being…
Stronger.
More aware.
More intentional.
More connected to your body.

The moments no one sees count!

Actually… they may be the moments that matter most.

Happy August. 🤍

What are you choosing to work on this month—not for anyone else, but for YOU?

**SAVE THIS FOR THE DAY YOU DON’T FEEL LIKE YOURSELF. ❤️**

If you’re in perimenopause or menopause and lately you’ve found yourself thinking…

“Why don’t I feel like me?”

“I don’t recognize my body.”

“Why am I so emotional?”

“Why can’t I sleep?”

“Why does everything feel harder than it should?”

Please take a breath.

I met with a client today who was in tears because she feels like her body isn’t hers right now. Her emotions don’t feel like her. She can’t sleep. Nothing feels right.

And I know she is not alone.

If this is you, **please don’t add more guilt to your already-full plate.**

You don’t have to finish the list tonight.

You don’t have to force yourself to “get it together.”

You don’t have to punish your body because it isn’t responding the way it used to.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is **stop.**

Take a few slow breaths.

Let the list flow into tomorrow.

Put your legs up the wall.

Take your magnesium, GABA and L-theanine for some supplemental calm.

Take a warm bath.

Get into bed.

And remind yourself:

**My body is changing.
That doesn’t mean my body is broken.
I am not failing.
I am not losing myself.
I am learning how to support this version of me.**

Hormonal changes can affect SO much of how we feel—and you deserve support and answers, not shame. 💛

And if you’re walking through this season feeling confused, overwhelmed, or like you’re the only one struggling…

**You are not alone.**

Come join us inside **Vibrant Life Tribe**, my community for women navigating perimenopause and menopause. We talk about hormones, metabolism, muscle, nutrition, movement, sleep, and the things that actually matter in this season—without the overwhelm and conflicting “rules.”

💕 **Comment TRIBE or send me a message and I’ll send you the details.**

And save this post for the next hard day. You may need to hear it again.

Some days I wake up feeling energized... and some days I feel like life has already asked for more than I have to give.

Between work, workouts, running a business, caring for family, and everything else life throws at us, I know what it feels like to run on empty.

I’ve been trying **Nobona** recently, and what I’ve noticed most isn’t a jittery boost of energy—it’s how much more **clear, focused, and rejuvenated** I feel, especially on my most stressful, exhausting days. It helps me feel like *me* again.

I don’t take a lot of supplements, so when I find something that truly makes a difference, it’s worth sharing.

If you’re in perimenopause or post menopause and feeling mentally drained or like your brain is stuck in a fog, this might be one to look into!!

Getting dizzy with all the different opinions and “rules” related to health and hormones specifically with perimenopause and post menopause??

Here’s my two cents on all of that! 💛

07/26/2026

Comparison is one of the fastest ways to lose momentum.

It’s so easy to look around and wonder why someone else seems further ahead, stronger, leaner, or getting results faster.

But your journey isn’t happening in their body, their schedule, or their life. 👈

Keep your eyes on your next step.
The workout you do today.
The walk you take.
The protein you choose.
The bedtime you protect.
The promises you keep to yourself.

Those small, ordinary decisions compound into an extraordinary life!!

Don’t let someone else’s chapter distract you from writing your own. 💥

Focus forward. Your future self is waiting. 🤍

The healthiest women I know don’t spend 100% of their time trying to “be perfect.”

They enjoy time with family and friends.
They savor good food.
They unwind.
They prioritize recovery.

Then they intentionally reset for the week ahead.

My weekend routine almost always includes:
✨ A delicious meal
🍷 A little something I enjoy (yes, including wine!)
☀️ an adventure
💪 Movement
📝 Setting my goals for the week

Because success in perimenopause and menopause isn’t about all-or-nothing. It’s about creating habits that help you feel your best week after week.

Before Monday arrives, ask yourself:
• What is one nutrition goal?
• What is one movement goal?
• What is one way you’ll prioritize your rejuvenation this week?

🌟 Small, consistent actions create big transformations.

If you’re ready for accountability, workouts, nutrition guidance, and a community of women who are navigating this season together, come join us inside **Vibrant Life Tribe**.
