Incredibly proud of our MMS band students, who braved cold temps and LOTS of rain to perform in the annual Albany Veteran’s Day parade. They did amazing! Well done MMS band students and their fearless leader, Mr. Solansky!

Reminder! Today and tomorrow are our in person registration days, moved because of excessive heat last week.

The dates and times are:

Today, 8/21: 4-7pm
Tomorrow, 8/22: 1-7pm.

Please take note of both the note about construction AND making sure to do the online portion first, if you can.

The most important date coming up quickly is registration. Many of you have already done the first step - registering online - but there's a second step that involves coming into the building to complete the registration process. If you're unsure of whether you've registered online or aren't sure how to proceed, that's ok! We'll have a station set up to do so with help from MMS staff. We've also included a link to the site below, so you can do it before you come in if you haven't yet. It will save you time to complete the online registration before you come in. The online registration is at: https://albany.k12.or.us/parents/online-registration

At registration, we'll have you finish the process to enroll at Memorial. You'll pay fees, get any pertinent info for clubs/sports/opportunities through Memorial, and, if you're a student and you haven't yet forecasted (chosen the electives you'd like to take) you'll have an opportunity to do that as well!

Parents, your students don't have to come with you, but are highly encouraged to. At the end of the steps, we'll give you your locker info, and you'll get a chance to try it out. We will have student schedules ready as well.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of construction going on in front of the school on Queen Street. Therefore, the parking for registration will be in the Southeast parking lot. That is the parking lot at the back of the building located off of Elm Street. You will be able to enter through the hallway on the Southeast side of the building where we will have signs on where to go.

Over the summer, GAPS transitioned to a new Student Information System (SIS) database. IMPORTANT REGISTRATION UPDATE:

Due to the excessive heat warnings - and the fact we do not have an air conditioned space to hold it - we will be having registration from 1pm - 4pm TODAY, 8/14, NOT 1pm - 7pm.

Tomorrow’s session is canceled, and the make-up sessions will be as follows:

Monday, 8/21: 4pm - 7pm
Tuesday, 8/22: 4pm - 7pm
