It's that time! The new school year is cooking up and I've got a feeling it's going to be a great year!

Now is the perfect time to learn a new instrument! Learning music is one of the best things you can do for your brain (and your heart and your soul!). It is never to late to start!

I currently have openings for students of all ages (3 - 99+) in piano and beginning guitar. Please contact me for more information.

For some reason, I just noticed that all of my older newletters are not showing here. I did not do any last year but am getting back to it this year. I am posting some of them from 2016-17 just to have them and to get in gear for new stories and happenings in the coming year!

Hello! It's been a while - not a big facebook user...but - I'm getting ready to gear up for the 2018-19 school year. I will be posting here semi-regularly with news and updates!

I do also have some summer slots available. If you are interested in trying out lessons this is a great time to do it! Adults - I'm talking to you too! I've had an increasing number of adult students - some picking up an old passion and others trying out something new. It's never too late!!!

This Is Your Brain. This Is Your Brain On Music A new study suggests that learning to play a musical instrument helps improve the brain's ability to process language. That means music lessons could give kids from low-income communities a big boost.

The next session of Jammin' With Julie mixed age group music class will begin on Wednesday, April 15 at Temple Israel in Albany. This will be an 8 week session, running from April 15 through June 10 (with no class on Wednesday, April 22).
